Good coverage by Sensabaugh that D-series. 2 coverage breakups & forced the 3 & out.

1st O series...

1st & 10: WR screen to Bryant. Complete but tackled behind LOS.
2nd & 13: Quick pass to the left to Toussaint. Complete but limited gain.
3rd & 5: Pressure from behind. Ball knocked from Dobbs. Matt Feiler starting at LG. He & Villanueva had a bad block pass-off (twist).

Result: 3 & out.

2nd O-series...

1st & 10: Run up the middle to Toussaint. Gain of 3.
2nd & 7: Run up the middle again to Toussaint. Gain of 2. Finney got owned.
3rd & 4: Pass dumped off to Rodgers for 2yds.

3 & out again.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

3rd O series:

1st & 10: Run delay up the middle for Conner. Tripped up for a gain of 3.
2nd & 7: Play-action, incomplete to DHB. Ball bounced off his hip (could have had that). Pass Interference penalty on the defense. 1st down.

1st & 10: Reverse to Bryant. Bryant tripped but it was snuffed out. Fumbled the ball out of bounds.
2nd & 11: Run up the middle for Conner. Good cuts inside. Gain of 5.
3rd & 6: Shotgun formation. Pass to Bryant, underthrown but good recovery by Bryant. Complete.

1st & 10: Low pass to DHB running a post formation. DHB didn't go after it? He limped off the field.
2nd & 10: Run to the left for Conner. Swallowed up immediately in the backfield. Loss of 6.
3rd & 16: Shotgun. Dump to Jesse James. Gain of 12. Penalty on PIT for ineligible man downfield (DeCastro).
3rd & 16: Draw to Conner. Gain of 11.

42yd FG by Boswell. Drilled it.

Summary: 1 gifted 1st down, and 1 legit 1st down. Drive stalled midway to the RZ. FG good.

4th O series...

1st & 10: Run to the left for Conner. Almost gets outside. Good block by Nix, but the safety crashed. No gain.
2nd & 10: Complete pass to D-Johnson. Easy pass, uncontested. 1st down

1st & 10: Incomplete pass to Justin Hunter. Badly overthrown.
2nd & 10: Complete pass to Jesse James in the flat. Stiff arms for YAC. 6yd gain.
3rd & 4: Incomplete flip pass to Conner. Dobbs flushed from pocket, Conner dropped an easy 1st down.

Summary: 1 1st down.

5th O series

1st & 10: Complete pass to James in the flat. Gets OB, Gain of 2.
2nd & 8: Complete quick pass to Coates. Gets OB, gain of 6.
3rd & 2: Incomplete pass to Conner. Overthrown an easy throw.

3 & out

6th O series...

1st & 10: Run up the middle to Conner. 11yd gain.

1st & 10: Conner up the middle for 2yds.
2nd & 8: Complete quick pass to Conner in the flat. CB snuffed it out for 3yd gain.
3rd & 5: Dobbs flushed from pocket, fumbles the ball OB. Penalty on ATL, lined up in neutral zone. 1st down.

1st & 10: Pass over middle to Grimble. Dropped (good play by defender, but still need to hang on). Penalty on ATL, holding. Auto 1st down.

1st & 10: Incomplete deep pass to Coates. Didn't fight for it. Tried to pad catch it & the defender knocked it away.
2nd & 10: Conner up the middle. No lanes, bounced around. Gain of 2.
3rd & 8: Incomplete pass to Bryant. Contested. Looked like DPI to me. Good blitz pickup from Conner.

2 gifted 1st downs... Punt

7th O series...

1st & 10: Conner right tackle for 2yds.
2nd & 8: Dobbs escapes 2 sacks. Good step up into the pocket & flushing out. Loss of 4.
3rd & 12: Incomplete short right pass to Conner. 2nd drop from Conner. Still wasn't likely to get the 1st down.

8th O series...

1st & 10: Complete pass over the middle to Hunter for 9yds.
2nd & 1: Conner up the middle for no gain. O-line breaks down.
3rd & 1: Play-action, Dobbs gets flushed. Tries to shovel pass as he's falling but goes right into the arms of the CB for an interception. Rookie mistake.

Boneheaded interception. Would have been a 3 & out anyways, but now ATL gets excellent field position.

Bart Houston in at QB now... Not sure I agree with that. Dobbs has struggled all game. Would like to see him get more opportunities over a camp-body like Houston. Laundry will likely start next week in PG3. Doubt Houston sees the field again until PG4 before he gets cut.

2nd & 7: Conner up the middle for 9yds.

1st & 10: Reverse to Hunter. Bobbles the toss-handoff. Play collapses for -4yds.
2nd & 14: Incomplete pass. Nothing open. Houston flushes outside & throws it away.
3rd & 14: Complete quick pass to Hunter. Nothing there. 1yd gain. Penalty on PIT illegal formation, declined.

Summary: 1 1st down and O sputters again. Punt.

Good punt coverage again. ST play continues to be the sole bright spot today. Only 1 bad punt by Berry to my recollection in the 2nd qtr he kicked one 33yds to the ATL 20. 7 punts total today, 2 inside the RZ.

WOW HILTON on the blitz! Possible sack/safety right there. Simms got the ball out & because the ball was tipped (by PIT?) the Refs called it an incomplete pass. That didn't make sense. I'd call that a safety in my book.

1st & 10: Complete pass over the middle to Coates for 8yds.
2nd & 2: Conner bursts left tackle for 17yds. Great block & run.

1st & 10: Complete dump pass over the middle to Coates for 5yds.
2nd & 5: Conner left tackle counter run for 20yds. Great seal blocking by TE McGee.

1st & goal: Shotgun. Incomplete lob pass to Tucker on the fade route. Overthrown OB, no chance for WR.
2nd & goal: Conner up the middle for 2-3yds. Grinding, but just short.
3rd & goal (1yd line): Delay of game by the offense. 5yd penalty. Bad communication by Houston.
3rd & goal (6yd line): Complete quick pass to Hunter far right. Hunter spins off the defender to extend into the EZ. TD! Houston waited too long on that play, but good effort by Hunter.

Summary: 1st good offensive series of the game. TD & FG puts them up 17-13.

2nd & 8: Incomplete play-action deep pass to Hunter. DB pushed him but no call? WTF? Hunter got screwed.
3rd & 8: Conner run off left tackle for no gain.

1st & 10: Conner right tackle trips on McGee. McGee had a decent block & it could have been a big gain. Loss of 2
2nd & 12: Conner with the counter left tackle for 10yds. Another great block by McGee. Hit OB, and no penalty?
3rd & 2: Conner run to the right guard, stutters but the D-line swallowed him up. Loss of 2.
4th & 4: Pass intercepted in the EZ. Underthrown pass to Hunter on the fade. Tipped by DBs & ultimately intercepted.
