10 DBs? & only 5 LBs?I'm sure I'll change my mind on some of these in the next week and as health issues arise/go away, but my GUESS at the 53 as of today:
QB Dak Rush
RB Zeke, Olawale, Pollard, Chunn (If Zeke not signed then Morris)
WR Coop, Gallup, Cobb, Austin, Wilson, Smith; Brown to PUP
TE Witten, Jarwin, Schultz
OL Smith, Williams, Frederick, Martin, Collins, Fleming, XSF, McGovern, Looney
DL Tank, Collins, Woods, Crawford, Armstrong, Taco, Covington, Hyder, Hill, Jackson; Quinn and Gregory suspended
LB LVE, Jaylon, Lee, Thomas, Gifford; If Gifford to IR then Philips or Covington
DBs Jones, Awuzie, Woods, Heath, Brown, Lewis, Olumba, Goodwin; Wilson, Iloka
Jones
Maher
LP
That's 52. Would like to see another OT but don't know who I would pick. This could become clearer after the last preseason game.
Could go LB for STs purposes or D Thompson as a Safety/STs guy
PS Weber, J Johnson, Campos, Knight, Hyatt, M Jackson, Westry
Our backup LBs just aren't impressive to me, But, like I wrote the 53rd player could be a LB. The other side of it is would the 6th LB ever be active on game day (If injury we could call one up from the PS)? If not I take the better player and to me that is a CB. The extra DB would fill the STs need. We need 4 safeties and Olumba and Goodwin look like guys who could be in a defensive rotation down the road and both play STs. I'm hoping we don't cut either and I don't think we will.10 DBs? & only 5 LBs?
That's great. Love the Garrett and Zeke angles. Although, I could do without the way Dak is holding Amari...
This sucks. William's has looked better in the preseason.. he is not getting man handled. McGovern likely headed to IR. Maybe he can return late in the season to get some work in preparation to becoming the starting LG next season. William's can move over to RTESPN's Todd Archer reports Cowboys OG Connor McGovern (partially torn pec) suffered a setback in his recovery, putting his status for the season in jeopardy.
The third-round pick wasn't expected to begin the season as a starter, but the news certainly isn't good for the Cowboys' depth across the offensive line. Losing a third-rounder before the season starts is never ideal. Second-year LG Connor Williams is now solidified as a starter.

what happened?Donovan Wilson looks like a missile out there when it comes to jumpin a route. He is showing some serious ball skills. Then he gets hurt. Talk about shit luck. Seems like we will be stuck with Heath forever.
