In fairness, everyone has looked like gold against the Giants' blockers this preseason.
Fair enough and the Giants O-line is supposed to be a bit shabby, but still this Barkevious Mingo guy is fast. I think he's excited to get out of Cleveland. :D
Great name to boot!

It's borderline criminal that Brady is out there right now. What is Belichick thinking?

TB just had a Giant D-lineman fall right on top of him. That's how serious injuries happen.

Scrubs can't stop the pass. Haven't done it all preseason. 59 yard TD by two unknown Giants who will be cut this week. Probably against Patriots that will be cut Saturday. 10-6 Giants.

Cyrus Jones got juked and was left in the dust.

Officiating is bad. Mingo was held twice and was nearly strangled on one play and there was no call. But they aren't missing anything that the Pats do.

Bissett sacked, Gaffney trying to hold off a 315 lb defensive lineman. Which OL missed his block??

Patriots punt. Two Pats go face down after being pushed in the back. No question, blocked in the back.

No flags. It's bullshit. Typical New York officiating for the NFL office.

Yeah... no doubt the fix is in for this bigtime preseason match-up.

No, not a fix. Just impressing the NFL office. If you watched the game, the Patriots got called for everything, very few calls against the Giants. It's a wannabe game, but just call it correctly.

I got that impression too, but it's a constant when playing the Giants. Also, how in the world was the Bennet "catch & fumble" called a complete pass? I've seen receivers hold on to the ball longer, make more "football moves", fumble the ball, and it gets called incomplete pass. Total BS. No one knows what a catch is anymore.

Just glad that the "preseason" is over and done with.

I do hope they change it for next year.

physical test will automatically be placed on IR.....no PUP bullshit.........IR. ALL TEAMS.

July 18-31 Full contact training camp

August 1 through August 15 all teams will play one home and one away preseason game.

August 15 - 27 teams may hay have combined practices.

September 1...............Season Opens. All teams have 17 games through the third Sunday in December .

January 1st Sunday.........Wildcard Games

My impression of the game?
Brady looked like he needed to play.
JG should have played a quarter
DJ Foster wins a job
O-line still experimenting. Some set-ups did not work - it really wasn't so much blown plays, IMHO
Most cuts are going to be difficult but some should happen this minute!

Belichick on Brady

In Week 4 of the preseason, when most stars are usually resting on the sideline, Tom Brady played the entire first half for the New England Patriots. He was on the field for all 38 offensive snaps against the Giants, eventually working with second and third-team offensive linemen in front of him and without his top weapons as well. It was quite an unusual for sight.

After the game, reporters asked Pats coach Bill Belichick to explain why Brady played so deep into the game, and he answered in exactly the way you'd expect.

Q: How beneficial can it be for Tom (Brady) to get exposure to a lot of different players? What's part of the benefit of him playing the entire first half?

A: I don't know. That's a good question.

Q: When you're deciding on (Tom) Brady playing the first half, how do you balance yourself with the idea of "we don't want him to get hurt" and needing him to get the game action, as a coach?

A: Well, you can't take insurance out on players. If you play football, then you play football. I don't know how you get better at playing football without playing football. You can stand around and talk about it all day, (but) I don't really think that makes you a better player. At some point, you've got to get out there and play. You tell me.

"I don't know how you get better at playing football without playing football" is one of the most Belichick quotes imaginable. The natural follow-up would have been to ask why Brady hadn't played so deep into the game in previous preseason finales but everyone on hand was probably so thrown off by Belichick telling a reporter that they'd asked a good question that they likely all blacked out.

priceless
