Here is what I have.

at Oregon State. W. Some of our fans are nervous about a road P5 opponent but Oregon State isn't good. We should win by 3 scores.

McNeese State. W. Good FCS school but it's a FCS school.

at Tulsa W. Practically a home game for us.

at Texas. W. Last time Texas won this in DKR Bush was President. Until proven otherwise chalk this up as a win.

Kansas State. W. With the wizard this is a question mark but with a new coach we have an advantage here.

at Texas Tech. W. Same as KSU.

Baylor (Homecoming). W. Rhule is good but it's at home and still a team that is recovering from massive defections a couple of seasons ago.

at Iowa State. L. These are barnburners and Purdy is a stud so we gotta drop one somewhere.

TCU. W. Not totally sold on TCU and we tend to hit on all cylinders in bounce back games.

Kansas. W. It's Kansas.

at West Virginia. L. I think this is a trap game for us. We have a legit chance at playing OU back to back and WVU is in transition. This is a signature win for Neal Brown.

Oklahoma. L. The last time we beat them Tyreke Hill was a stand up gentleman so until proven otherwise chalk this up as a L.

I have us at 9-3. Probably going to be 8-4 with a win and 2 losses I didn't expect.

UCF is, unquestionably, the most unpredictable/up-and-down CFB team in the FBS over the last 15 or so years.

Trying to guess how this team's season will go is basically the CFB equivalent of throwing darts at a board while blindfolded.

I'll go 11-1.

Replacing the four year starting QB, tailback, and top two receivers. I’ll say Boise goes 10-2.

I tend to avoid these but I feel 9-3. Not seeing them beat UGA or Mich on road right now, and they’ll drop at least one head-scratcher that they shouldn’t, if modern history is any indication.

Not going to lie, anything less than 9-3 and I will be disappointed.

Anywhere between 6-6 and 10-2. I'll go 8-4. Taylor goes for 2500 yrds and wins the Heisman. Shocks everyone and returns for his senior year

dont be sad i think UTEP could triple their wins this year
Hope springs eternal...at least until the season starts for Miner fans.

But I looked at the schedule and you may be right. Houston Baptist "should" be a win. And we make Charlotte come all the way to the Sun Bowl. Throw in Rice and New Mexico State and that makes four "winnable" games...whether we do it or not.

The only other thing we can hope for is that some of the others are sleep walking or get scared playing a game within a rock throw of Juarez.

Rice, Houston Baptist, and NMSU were the main three i looked at. UTSA and Charlotte i think are both winnable but also not sure.
dont forget UTEP gave North Texas and LA Tech games last year

L vs Penn St.
L at Iowa
L at Northwestern
L vs Wisconsin

4-8, 2-7 in Big Ten play. The * games are ones I think could go either way.

Part of it may be the built in cynicism as a born and raised Minnesotan about our sports teams, but I think we take a step back this season.
