The "major splash" that you say was rumored, was only about major FAs possibility to end up with the NETs and never for trade...

In the mean time the NETs already started (re)building around AD by getting Taurean Prince from the Hawks and are expected to sign either Kyrie or Kemba as to replace Russell (who will be with the Pelicans next season).

I know it hearts your feelings as a Celtics fun, but just imagine the Lakers funs feelings... AD to the NETs is a done deal.

AD to the Nets was classic though - Right before the draft - New York was going to get Zion, sign KD and Irving and trade for AD - it was a done deal - guaranteed - just like you child support payment for your kids
