I would think they might inquire.....

If Bo would take that job then he really hates Nebraska......I don't think Bo would leave Huskers for that job......

To me it seems like it would have to be as good as any offer Bo could possibly expect.....

You'd be in the SEC, at a program that you definitely can succeed at as there is plenty of history there. Auburn really is a top-tier football program. Plus you have the rivalry with Alabama and all that.

Chizik was getting paid $3.5 million. Auburn never played a lick of Defense. They gotta be looking for someone who can bring some Defense.

i really don't see Bo leaving...i know its unrealistic in today's CFB world, but he is so intense about loyalty that he seems like he would stay here until the AD doesn't want him anymore

We all tend to focus on those two. Only blue hairs would know anyone different.

If it wasn't for Devaney, we would not be here talking about our Huskers. Nebraska would not have been relevant at all. True story!

I just want Bo to field a disciplined team is all.

Is it too much to ask that a defensive guru (in his 5th year) have a defense that isn't 90th in the country against the rush, and 71st in scoring defense? The same guru that holds the Blackshirt tradition in contempt.

Is it too much to ask that the team be disciplined enough not to be 110th in turnover margin and 120th in fumbles lost?

No it isn't too much to ask.

I think you and I view Auburn differently.....I don't think they are a top-tier football program......I put them towards the top of the second tier historically.....right now however they are just fucking awful......

Yea, I see Auburn as a pretty storied program.....

They've had a good handful of undefeated seasons, a few* National Titles, and a handful of Heisman Trophy winners....

To me they are way more goodar than Texas, just to compare them to someone else who is considered by many to be a top program.

I don't think Bo's going anywhere. The Ohio St jerb is filled for a while, and he seemed genuinely pleased with things after the game Friday.

Plus a senior qb and a favorable schedule for next year they could easily be title contenders.....

They'll have to improve up-front on both sides of the ball.

NU is a pipeline and a tenacious D-line away from being in that league.

The Auburn job will demand a certain type of personality, one that is lets say less that ethical, Bo does not fit that bill. Unless he's a sellout, which I'm pretty sure he's not.

There are a few reasons Pelini is here. Among them is dedication to his family, academics, and character. Going to the SEC makes little sense based on that. A conference riddled with scandal and academic fraud, plenty of players with off field issues, and even more players that just view the schools as a stepping stone to a pro career. Look how Tyler Moore faired. Long story short, unless he is looking for a big payout, which he hasn't shown at all, the only way he skips town is if we run him out for not winning a national title after never winning less than 9 games every year.

I do not see Nebraska winning a CCG in the next 5 years.
Therefore, I do not see Nebraska getting back to the elite (Top 5) in the next 5 years.

I see Bo Pelini as a defensive coordinator in the NFL in the next 5 years.

Y'all may not want to hear it, but Nebraska could very easily be (3-4) (0-3) right now.
They are a mere 4 pts away from it.

Yea no shit we could be 0-10. we could 12-0 we could be a lot of things RA. but right now we are a 10-2 team headed into the big ten championship game. With a possible 12-2 season and a top 5-8 headed into 2013. Bo i is here to stay. What about his track record names you think he can't win a national championship

Zero. He's not on their shortlist and they will get someone on their shortlist.

Kirby Smart... Gus Mahlzan...

I 100 percent agree his wife loves it here. She wants to raise her family here. Bo wants to raise his kids with family morals. Hard work everything he turn the program back into since the days if HHSNBN FUCKING WRECKED IT. a NFL career doesn't make sense he's been there done that. Plus to much stress he can't run the ship 100 percent. And why would he relinquished a head coaching job? More money? He makes plenty and Bo not that type of guy.
