Its pretty crazy, not going to lie. I'd seen some better talking up the NYG on the over at the start of the season and PFF was talking up the Eagles at the start of the season but even with that it wouldve been difficult to see it as the best division.I wish i could go back and start a thread stating that midway through the season, the NFC East would be the best division in football.
God, I would have loved to see the responses to that.
I think Im going to agree with some other posters that there are more contenders than just a couple of teams. I think the Dolphins are undefeated with Tua playing the whole game? With the way Tyreek Hill is playing I think that puts them in the contender list. Dallas' defense has some championship upside. Its hard to immediately dismiss Dallas' and Baltimore's previous playoff failures as repeatable.
S tier: Buffalo
A+ tier: Kansas City, Philadelphia
A- tier: Cincinnati, San Francisco, Dallas, Baltimore, Miami
B+ tier: Seattle, Minnesota, NY Giants, Tennessee

Yeah, thats a pretty big deal. He was their best CB last year IIRC. Had I waited a day I probably would've left the Bengals off the tier list entirely as they're in the same spot as many other teams that are waiting on things to turn around like the Browns and Bucs and Packers and Cardinals and Rams and Chargers.Cincy lost their top CB Chidobe Awuzie for the season last night to a torn ACL. Injuries suck.
All things considered, I think where things are at this point in the season, which Dallas with MinnesotaS tier: Buffalo

In what world do you put a San Francisco team that's 4-4 with a 23rd sos ahead of a 6-1 Vikings team with a 15th sos? Are we just going by FPI which is basically useless outside of college football where margin of victory matters in ranking? If so, just cut and paste espins rpi and be done with it.I think Im going to agree with some other posters that there are more contenders than just a couple of teams. I would have ridiculed you mercilessly.I wish i could go back and start a thread stating that midway through the season, the NFC East would be the best division in football.

I've been hearing everyone, including Minnesota fans, talk about how mediocre Kirk Cousins is and at the end of the day its Kirk Cousins that will decide if you guys win a SB or not. When people insulted Dak last year, they called him Kirk Cousins. Thats the main reason. In what world do you put a San Francisco team that's 4-4 with a 23rd sos ahead of a 6-1 Vikings team with a 15th sos? I do think Dallas is right there with SF. Both have shown inconsistencies with what they're good at but if they actually do ever get their defenses running on all cylinders then they could be scary. Dallas getting OBJ for a run might be interesting, tooTier 1 Buffalo and KC
tier 2 eagles
the rest of the teams all seem to move around from week to week after this group. I guess SF may have the potential to sneak into tier 2 with the CMC acquisition even with Jimmy G.
I'd rather notDallas getting OBJ for a run might be interesting, too
Got four of the top 5. Whiffed on the Bills but they had some issues all season that got more apparent.S tier: Buffalo Bills
#1 DVOA on defense, #2 DVOA on offense. Josh Allen. Von Miller. A little banged up but if healthy they'll be able to pass on anyone and defend the pass against everyone. Probably only losing if they get beat up in the trenches and lose possessions due to turnovers. Already beat KC in KC.
A+ tier: Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles
Chiefs still have Mahomes and seems to slowly working out the kinks without Tyreek Hill having the top offense in the league due to better depth. Bengals have beaten the Chiefs twice last year and Burrow has really turned his game around quickly and the Bengals have a good defense. Zac Taylor is probably the only thing stopping them but he seems to have adjusted as the season has gone on. Eagles are +12 in turnover margin. The other teams on the list are 0 and Bill +3. Eagles have just been stealing possessions from everyone so I think they're in the championship lane but not the clear favorites if that turnover margin regresses to the mean.
A- tier: San Francisco Niners
Great teams that can go on a run in the playoffs. Niners a bit banged up at the moment and held back by Jimmy G.
B+ tier: Dallas, Baltimore, NY Giants, Tennessee, Minnesota, Seattle
Seem more like spoilers than contenders but they're tough outs for sure.
B- tier: Miami, LA Rams, Tampa Bay, LA Chargers, Vegas, Arizona
Frisky teams. Lots of issues.
C tier: Everyone else
Lots of parity. Texans might be the worst team but they're still sticking around.
Since you bumped it, you want to explain TennesseeGot four of the top 5. Whiffed on the Bills but they had some issues all season that got more apparent.
.....Its time you officially stop being the only person in america to overrate the Bengals.
