But as of right now you can make legitimate cases for number 5 or 6 or having every P5 represented. Anyone whining about being 9th and not in will have their tears fall on deaf ears.
Pretty much.

i can argue for all P5 representedBut as of right now you can make legitimate cases for number 5 or 6 or having every P5 represented. Anyone whining about being 9th and not in will have their tears fall on deaf ears.
again this isnt the FCS, or march madness..............you wanna cut the season down for playoffsWhat is your point?
The FCS have a 24 team playoff.
i can argue for all P5 represented
BUt i cant argue that #6 should be represented
lol i know what u mean, u cant have a 6 team playoff either unless 2 teams get a byeWell you can’t have a 5 team playoff. I mean this year you could because Alabama should just play the winner of the playoff.

1. This isn't FCS or March Madness (for whatever reason that is brought up) is not a legitimate argument. The FCS schools can do it. They play 11-12 games a season. Their students go to school. Their players get injured. Hell they even step up and often times play FBS power 5 schools. So what is your point? In what way does saying "this isnt the FCS" a legitimate argument against an 8 team or even a 16 team playoff when they are able to do it with 24 teams. This is a serious question, help me understand where you are coming from. If you just don't want it because you don't want it... I think that is weird from a fan perspective, but you are entitled to your opinion. Don't feed me excuses that don't make sense is all I am asking.
2. No, I don't want to cut the season down. Personally, I would rather make it a little longer. But a common gripe/complaint is that it would be too long of a season. I was merely stating that if we took 1 to 2 non conference games away, we could naturally extent the season and it wouldn't change the number of games played.
u scurrredAnything that includes UCF.
Other than that, don't really care.

UCF isnt as good as tcu or boiseNo offense, but I believe I just did fairly well.
Let me ask a question. Regardless of your opinion of the 2010 TCU team, the AP, the Coaches Poll, the Harris Poll, and the BCS poll voted them in the top 4 most of the season for that year given the schedule they played.
Now, a G5 school has a hard time breaking the top 10. Aside from the introduction of the playoff system, what changed? Why are people changing how they voted then to now? The AP, Coaches, and Harris poll are made with actual people who were supposed to be voting based on how strong/deserving they thought the teams were. So what changed in your opinion?
u literalyl just suggested cutting the conference games down.
to the rest of your argument just
So. I don't think it would, but so what if it did.
8 teams encompasses nearly all of the top 10 teams. This leaves room for underdogs and such. How many fans really believe that teams outside the top ten AT THE END OF THE SEASON have a strong shot at beating the #1 team? I doubt many believe that. Sure there is an outside chance, but I honestly believe that most fans would be content with the majority of the top 10 being included in this playoff and not complain nearly as much. It leaves room for teams like Bama to lose the last regular season game of the year, knocking them out of the CCG and still provides reason to include them in the playoff. Like I mentioned, I will be the first to say that Bama won the national title and likely was the best overall team, but not winning your division and thus obviously not winning your own conference, is in no way deserving of having a playoff birth of 4 teams. But that is my opinion.
I do think that 16 teams would be the most amount of fun for the fans, but I understand that it will cut into class time, etc... essentially saying that we don't want to add too many games to the schedule....
however, with that said, if we rolled back nonconference games from 4 or 3 to 1 or 2, then we could legitimately enlarge the playoff system to naturally include more teams and hold still with the number of games played a season.
