The Boston deal was Khoklachev (19 year old Russian prospect) and a 2nd rounder. Makes me think that the Stars let Morrow decide his fate.

Shero: Morrow never had to pick between #Pens and #Bruins … only the #Stars were dealing with Boston management.

Nevermind. I guess the Stars liked Joe a lot more than Khoklachev then. Just a bit surprising with the 5th v. 2nd rounder, and they seem to have similar ratings (hockey's future). Seems like Morrow's ceiling is higher though.

Don't know anything about the Morrow kid going to Dallas but always liked the Dallas Morrow dude (and hated playing against him), so maybe I'm a bit biased... so even though I think it's a good deal for both teams, I think Pittsburgh "wins".

I don't know how much Brendan Morrow has left in the tank, but if he isn't fired up to go to the Pens he'll never be.

Dallas keeps trying to get offensive minded defenseman from Pittsburgh. Hopefully for Niewy, Joe Morrow works out better than Goligoski has.

I expected Morrow to have a better year in the A than he has...I hope for their sake, and his own, that he pans out. And I think he will. BUT, I think he's a bottom 3 type guy. He needs to work on his D game, but has a great shot.
