It is a little bit diffrent though.

The SPURS are a low seed by complex tiebreakers, not for being worse than HOU/POR/MEM/LAC.
They are just as good as any of those teams.
Typically 6 seeds have considerably worse records than 2 seeds....not just 1 game.

Chances are the Spurs would have homecourt in the Finals if its anyone but Atlanta.
And would anyone be shocked if Dallas beats Houston?

I am not saying the Spurs even beat the Clippers. That is a coinflip series at best for SA.

I will be the first to say that the Spurs are excellent for a team seeded #6. However, history will not care about that, they would still be remembered as a #6 seed to have won it all.

I'd be less surprised if Portland beat the Grizzlies, but don't think that is happening either.
It is an interesting thought experiment to think of the Spurs getting home court for a couple of rounds as a #6 seed, but I think saying it is perfectly reasonable is a stretch.
