Hey! Figured we could post some power rankings for how we see the East and West now coming out of the trade deadline. Here’s mine to get stuff started. Do what you want but I’m leaving my team out of here for a couple of reasons. You can’t handicap the Sixers without knowing about Embiid and I’m a homer and can’t distinguish what’s my head and what’s my heart.

East:
1. Celtics
2. Knicks (if healthy)
3. Bucks
4. Cavs
5. Heat
6. Orlando
7. Indiana

West:
1. Nuggets
2. Clippers
3. T’Wolves
4. OKC
5. Suns
6. Mavs
7. Lakers

West looks good. Don't know what your obsession w/ the Florida teams is, though. Also, Bucks have somewhat an identity crisis... Cavs at #2.

I’m valuing playoffs so I’m splitting ties based on whose roster fits playoff basketball best, who has players that fit as playoff risers, or guys who have done it in the playoffs.

The biggest impact on my rankings where I could be very wrong are the Cavs and the Thunder. They just haven’t really done it in the playoffs. Their core hasn’t accomplished anything in the playoffs yet. That’s not to say they can’t. It’s just saying that they haven’t yet. This is why I probably have the Suns and Heat higher than most might.

I'm sure the Hield trade is why you have the Pacers so low. Yes, the team waited too long to move him, should have been dealt in preseason...

That said, he's played the last two seasons as an undersized 6'4" small forward, hence making our defense one of the worst in the league. I believe it could be addition by subtraction, but this team has sent me on such a roller coaster this year that I pretty much have to believe that.

I just don’t like the Pacers defense and I don’t think their style of play translates to the playoffs.

I think the Bucks are adjusting to a new coach and will be better soon. Think you have them low.

I think they're a mark in the playoffs.

Middleton isn't the same player... defense (even with Pat Bev) is poor.

Fair. I think they can adjust with Doc. Doc is a lot of things and a lot of them are bad. But he’s a professional that will find a way to scheme up some team defense in my opinion. I see where you’re coming from.

I think Doc has compromising photographs of half the owners in the NBA.

It's the only explanation.

Twolves have enough 4th q collapses to average teams to make me nervous.

The West is fine. The top 5 can really be in almost any order but Nugs-Clips is mine too.

You have to put the Cavs at 3 for recent play. There was no reason to add a player, already running a 10 man rotation. Bucks got Pat Bev, helps their defense but I’m not sure it is a gamechanger. Tougher in the playoffs? Yes bc they have experience.

Sixers go above Orlando and Indy. I would go Sixers at 6 and Indy at 7

Y’all sleeping on the Pistons. The revamped roster is gonna run the table, sneak in the play in at 10 and win it all.

Or, they might just be better than Washington and Charlotte.

Waiving Hayes might’ve been their biggest move.

Was nice seeing Ivey get crazy minutes last night.

It is sad that Weaver has to literally trade and wave guys just to get Monty to play the correct players.

To be fair, Weaver was the one that had many of those guys in place to begin with. Hayes over Haliburton was egregious.
