Yep, I have pictures of people right up next to the drivers...I heard it will take almost five years to get the Big Boy up and running. Hoping I'm still around when they do and it makes an excursion through here.

If he did what is claimed, ie: hit her with his fist and caused damage, then he should be gone, period. I have no problem with that. However, if a different truth comes out, ie: he pushed her and she fell and sustained the injuries, then all bets are off.

this was in 2012 when it went out thru Oakly, Colby, etc and the down to Sharon Springs. The next morning it went west for Sharon Springs to Denver and I followed it to Limon, Colo.. Got a lot of good video and pics, but unfortunately all the video and most of the pics are on a Western Digital drive that went south on me. I need to get it all transferred to a new one, I just haven't got around to it. Pics across the bridge would have definitely been a priority, no doubt, cuz that is a great looking span.

So what's going on with the old RI Depot and JJ Grier place? Are they still being kept up? I haven't been thru there in at least 10 years, if not longer. If we go out that way, we usually end up out in the panhandle and NE New mexico going out and coming back, anymore. Used to be some good antiques places I'd stop back, especially in the early 90's, but one of the bigger ones closed and the other guy usually wanted too much for his stuff. There were a couple of antique malls/stores I'd go thru, too.

They are both being kept up. The Chamber of Commerce and some city office are in the depot. There is an Italian restaurant and the VA Clinic in the Grier House.

Yeah, it leads up to the Rockies but you're actually closer to them in SW Kansas where it's only 3000+ elevation.
