What is the proof?

An individual with a bloody nose saying she was punched by Mixon, and a witness saying Mixon punched her?

Was the witness a friend of the woman?

The video will show what happened. Maybe she grabbed his arm and caught an elbow when he tried to pull lose. We don't know that.

Fall practice has not started nor is there a game Saturday. Why should he be kicked off a team (that is currently idle) based on what "she and a witness said"?

If he did what they say, he will be charged and arrested at some point this week (probably tomorrow). At that point he should be kicked off the team.

Give it up. He doesn't want to have a rational conversation. He just wants Mixon strung up a tree without waiting for the facts to come out.

I'm all about civility as you'll notice I haven't posted a thing in any of the current Texas threads about arrest, NCAA probe or Charlie cleaning house but there is no need for some of the shit going on in here. Any arrests made? Ok then why the bullshit?

Even the victim has been told two different versions of the story, and the eye witness is her friend. I'll still wait for Norman PD to release a statement.

Multiple doctors have said this same thing. Like I said, this version of the story isn't quite adding up.

Actually getting caught with weed and paraphernalia, violating probation, being drunk, being out at 2:30 am, lipping off, or having parents that look the other way, does not garner getting punched in the face. Male or female.

If Mixon did punch her and he was not defending himself from her physical aggressions, then he committed assault and battery.
He should be kicked off the team, do some jail time depending on the severity (if bones were actually broken), complete anger management classes, complete alcohol awareness classes, and spend some time on 'zero tolerance' probation.

If she committed any physical aggression towards him first (slap, claw, grab, shove) and he was defending himself, he should walk.

It's just that simple.

True story:

Years ago I was friends with one of the best looking girls in Dallas who was a hoot to be around because she was liable to say anything. Funny and witty but mouthy when she was drinking. One night in a bar she got into an argument with a huge black guy. There was the usual cussing back and forth over something that wasn't even that important but she finally got under his skin and he decked her. She got up, nose bleeding, and said "is that all the fucking harder you can hit?". Soooo, he laid her out. Cold. The cops showed up and took him away and I rode in the ambulance with her to the hospital. (They allowed it back then.) They did surgery on her and you guessed it: good old Goldbug forked out $3,000 (which I did not have to spare at the time) to pay for her medical expenses. We dated a while, she wrecked my Mercedes into the side of a McDonald's and we finally parted ways after I figured out she was almost, but not quite, pretty enough to put up with. She married an actor everyone on here would know. Moral of the story? Sometimes a woman is begging to get hit. Doesn't make it right but it does happen.
