Good point! I am playing devils advocate here and those are very good points. I would prefer not being top 5 and playing a undefeated texas team and just clown stomping them. But that is ideal.

Agreed Texas did not look good, they will loose a couple games this year at least.

I think Texas may have some trouble this week. Whyoming will come out playing inspired in light of the events of the weekend.

did you hear about the extremely unforunate events to the Wyoming football players? I believe they were in a car accident with 5 injured 1 dead. Although they will be a few men down for their game this weekend, I think the team can bond together and win won for their fallen brother, or at least keep the game competitive.

I can not see why everyone gets so worked up about polls this time of year. We have a long way to go to prove we belong or we are back, however you want to look at it. I watched a few games this weekend and was not overly impressed with anyone. Give it until week 7 or 8 and then I believe you will be able to determine who should be where.

Early season polls simply are to sell papers or now days, get hits to links. Most coaches don't spend too much time analyzing or rationalizing their picks and most writers go simply off what they read from others, rather then true analysis.
