Actually it does matter. Because if it were really an emergency, I think we would get the same response we got for every other one from Carter through Obama. IN this case it was the nuclear option because Trump realized that this was the only way he could continue the wall fight.

I just hope you remember how vehemently you defended Presidential Power when a more liberal President decides Gun Violence is an actual national crisis and declares an emergency and bans anything but bolt action rifles and revolvers.

Lets be clear. The only reason they broke from the President is because they realize that to not challenge this President on a fabricated National Emergency, would give them no legs if a future President declared a national Emergency on Climate Change, or Gun Violence. This was political cover at its finest. Trump will veto it. It will then get challenged in court. But this was to preserve the ability to protest a future NED.

You are probably right but it does not change the fact that they 1/4 of the GOP Senators broke from the President and that is significant. Someone should tell that boy that he is not getting that wall no matter how hard he stomps his feet.

again i will say dems are doing that anyway . , now we have a constitution and the 2nd amendment is there so we will see .
