The problem isn't (stereotypical) Americans. It's just Internet douche bags in general leaving their idiotic comments under an anonymous username. Read the comments on pretty much any video about anything and you'll eventually stumble across these types and they certainly aren't exclusive to any country or region. Just like shooters like this guy aren't either.

Just throwing this out there but why can't guns all be fitted with GPS chips that need to be activated to use. If it's actively moving in an area populated by people and not game they set off an alarm. If the chip is disabled, it's a crime.

They do similar things with vehicles (for DUI convicts).

Let's lock up idiots who bring guns around people for whatever reason.

I don't like getting into gun talks because I'm 50/50 on the whole thing, but I definitely would not want the government being able to do something like this. Way to Orwellian. There really is no easy road to take in regards to firearms and the general public.

Sorry to hear about this event and sorry that people always take opportunities like this to push their agenda.

Prayers and condolences to the families of the fallen and injured. Let's hope they can bring this guy down without any further injury or death.

The line between fantasy and reality for a lot of people is shrinking. People can sit on their magic box and create whatever paradigm for themselves they want to make themselves feel better. And eventually, their fantasy world inside the magic box stops being enough. Some fantasize they are the protectors of justice and truth. Other fantasize that they are God incarnate, bringing their vengeance down for everything they see wrong. The world inside this magic box is no different than the world outside it, and fewer and fewer people seem to get that. And a lot of people's grip on reality is slipping. Whether it be this guy, or a college student in California who never got laid or two preteen girls who tried to kill a classmate to appease an imaginary photoshop monster.

Maybe we should consider getting these people help.

So when you're sleeping and completely taken by surprise by someone who invades your home in the attempt to do harm to you and your family, you want to first activate that GPS chip before you can use it. By that time, you're dead.

Also here in America, we'd rather not have the Government involved in our lives more than they already are. That may fly north of the border, it won't fly here.
