Question for my Canadian brethren: how big is Moncton? Is it a metropolis or more of a "we have one high rise" or "we have one stop light"? I know they have a junior team, so I assume it's a bit bigger?

I think they were in shock more than anything. Personally, if I were in their shoes 1) wouldn't be NEAR the window the second I saw a gun; and 2) if I were, and saw a cop get shot, I'd be in a weeping ball on the floor. This. The city itself is not that large. It's a close 2nd to where I live as far as "biggest" cities in New Brunswick go, but it has a larger surrounding area and has grown quite a bit in the last 10 to 15 years.

And Pix, I'm not sure if there are any high-rises there. Their junior team's arena seats about 6500 and they rarely sell out if that means anything to you.

There was a particular lack of sympathy at least in the tone. Again, I'd be a weeping mess. Certainly wouldn't stick it out as they apparently did.

That's another video. I'm choosing to leave it as a link intentionally. I don't think embedding is necessary. Watch if you'd like to. Nothing overtly gruesome, it's rather far away. Looks like a regular street corner, just in a neighborhood. Sincerely shocking stuff. Based on the man's dress, I'm thinking this was very much premeditated, and that perhaps he went speeding about looking to get pulled over. I looked at his FB page and it was filled with hate of cops/government.

I have posted and deleted about 5 replies to this as they were REALLY angry replies. I honestly dont know how to comprehend this. This is quite offensive to me. sorry B4FL but it really is the most offensive thing I have read in a while. Glad you could get your dig in about gun control first.

First off. I hate seeing anyone gunned down by mentally deranged people. My reply was simply that Canada has extremely strict gun laws thus as most can understand that gun laws do not APPLY to mentally deranged maniacs.

2nd I am 100% in favor of LEO. You might feel differently if you, or a family member, are killed by some schmuck who owns a gun just because he can. That is unless, of course, the perpetrator tries to shoot you in the brain. In that case the impact will probably go unnoticed.

If anything this incident shows that Canada's gun policy is flawed and that rules need to be stricter.

I'm fluent in French and English but for sure there was some terms (or the usage more so) that I don't know that I got fully. I got enough though. More than enough I think. It's a different dialect for sure but I got enough to know that one of them at least was pretty much cheering for the wrong team. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think I am.
