media and players complaining that players should not have to take less to build a team. the nba is already too unbalanced. can u imagine the teams put together if they raise the cap significantly. I prefer the new system where it is extremely hard to put together an all star team.

If its unbalanced now, what difference does it make?

"Competitive balance" is an NBA fallacy. It's a smoke and mirrors tactic used by the owners to get fans on their side while what they really do is pillage money from the players. By the nature of basketball, it is damn near impossible to have competitive balance because actual talent is such a huge driving force in success. There will only be a select handful of superstars (like less than 10, maybe even 5) at any one time. Have one of those guys and you're contending for a title. Don't have one? You're not winning no matter how hard you try and you're looking for ways to get one. That's just the way the game is.
