He's actually been pretty good lately. I wonder if being forced to play top pairing minutes has gotten him away from his bad habits of just getting the puck off his stick no matter what, and made him start playing with control and possession in mind. Actually using his talents instead of ignoring them to some self-imposed role.

Yeah speed isn't Johnson's game and it is brutal at times.
As for Gudbranson his puck handling abilities are just brutal and Johnson looks like Bobby Orr compared to him. Just think if you could combine the two of them into one player you might have a serviceable 6th d-man.

Side note can they get a helmet that fits Gudbranson's melon head?
