Yeah noticed a lot of people expecting big things from the Rangers with the coaching change. Most predictions I've seen got the Rangers as the #1 threat to my Pens in the Metro. After playing for Torts all these years, playing for AV should be a breeze.

Well I watched the Metro preview on the NHL network and they think the Isles and Flyers and Pens and Caps are going to be better then the Rangers.... I guess its possible not likely... Though I kinda like flying under the radar it worked well 2 years ago when we were one win from the Presidents Trophy.

If people buy into AV and things start clicking I think we have a good mix of Scorer and Grinder to win a lot of games.

If I had to make predictions I would say Pens in 1st place (ran away with the Atlantic last season & I'm bias), and last place Hurricanes (they really fell off after Ward got hurt & I don't think they've made significant moves to improve their defense). Really hard to call the rest of the division, I think the Rangers, Capitals, Islanders, Blue Jackets, Devils, & Flyers are pretty close.

I think no real goalie for the Islanders will really hurt and they will take a step back. I think its going to be same old same old in Philly a lot of offense no defense which will make the Goalie worst then he is. They will probably make the playoffs but probably wont go to far.


I think we make the playoffs as the second seed in the Metro division.

Since the first 3 teams in each Division make the playoffs, Islanders & Rangers

Metro does look rather mediocre so far. Can't say there's any team in the division who I consider to be a threat to my Pens so far. Then again, it is rather early in the season.
