Verstappen moves to second and Hamilton to 14th.
He still has to take the 5 spot penalty for the new engine and starts 10th, but with how quickly he dispatched the McLaren, AM and Ferrari he does still have a shot at winning tomorrow. If Bottas gets a good start and can hold Verstappen and Perez up a little Lewis absolutely can win it.For the Sprint, Bottas takes it followed by Verstappen and Sainz. Hamilton made it all the way back to fifth place, his starting position tomorrow, That is impressive with that new engine to come from the back of the field and finish fifth. That means he has a good chance of winning the race tomorrow from fifth.
Everything up to the main GP has been a complete clusterfuck. However, if they’re going to continue with the sprint races, I’d consider making them 150km and race full reverse grid. Going to have to increase spend and maybe PU leniency, bc each team will complain about it, but it would get the effect F1 is looking for. If not for HAM today, that’s another snoozer of a sprint race.
That’s the point, and why they should fully commit to reverse grid sprints
Totally agree with all thatThey should all be drawn and quartered for trying to fix something that ain't broke.
I don't need sprints. Period.
Today was interesting, but only because of who was charging through the field. And it was for 3 points maximum.
It's just cotton candy for the Chets to me. Better than lipstick on a pig mind you but still lacking. Gimmicky.
