The second race of the big three races in November moves to San Paulo, Brazil. Verstappen has Hamilton on the ropes and Championship, Number 8 for Hamilton is slowly fading into the mist. Unless the Mercs figure things out, they are down to 4 races to catch and pass Verstappen. We shall see how things play-out in Brazil this weekend.

Yep, The Sprint Race Number 3 is back scheduled for Saturday Afternoon. If you need a refresher, the top 10 cars are basically set-up using the F-1 and F-2 Practice sessions to determine the order for the Sprint Race. You all can play or not. F-1 pays out for the podium finish for the Sprint Race: 3 points for First, 2 points for Second, and 1 Point for third. We pay the same here on this championship competition. You have until they start their engines tomorrow. I surmise for most of us that will be Saturday morning sometimes. Here is an article again explaining the rationale and schedule for this new twist F-1 has thought-up to garner more fannies in the seats.

Hamilton is beating Verstappen in the First practice as the Mercs go all out to beat Verstappen this weekend.

If Hamilton's DRS penalty holds for tomorrow:

Verstappen
Perez
Bottas

If Hamilton doesn't get penalized for tomorrow:

Hamilton
Verstappen
Perez

Will be very interesting to see what happens and how FIA reacts. The sprint race throws everything into more chaos.

If they find him guilty of the technical infringement, then he is excluded form qualifying, meaning a pit lane start for the sprint. So whatever he does to make up spots will count minus 5 spots for the new ICE.

BUT he will be compelled to fix the issue and the cars are technically under Parc Ferme after qualifying so if they fix it, he will have to start the race form pit lane no matter how he finishes the Sprint. The question is is "qualifying" the start of Parc Ferme, or is the Sprint the start of Parc Ferme?

If HAM starts the sprint from Pit Lane for the sprint:
VER
BOT
PER

If he starts from pole in the sprint:
HAM
VER
BOT

They are currently under Parc Ferme rules now.

So if he is found at fault, they will start from rear AFTER adjusting the wing to legal.

Should have no effect on Sunday, aside from being much farther back than if he started the sprint from pole and won.

I think he'll get up to 9th or so at best. Such a short race.

Yep, I'll go with the same explanation as Hank and 43 and their delineations stated based on the DRS penalty which I just read is for Sunday but that could change.

So:
If Hamilton's DRS penalty holds for tomorrow (Saturday's Sprint Race), I'll go with Verstappen, Perez, Bottas.

If Hamilton doesn't get penalized for tomorrow but Sunday only, I'll go with Hamilton, Verstappen, Perez.

The thick plotens....

Max was seen touching Lewis's car after qualifying. A supreme no-no.

He has received a come hither himself from the stewards.

If this was the NFL, they'd call offsetting fouls and re-do the play.

This drama is growing tiresome. I know everyone loves the Netflix series, but I feel like it's one of the worst things to happen to the sport ever. Because now the entire sports seems more focused in on amplifying every simple disagreement than it is on competition. The losers whine, the media pushes every story to death. The Winners whine. We've even heard two weeks of crap about a rapper and her bodyguard pushing away an interview. And Marko and Horner are built for it.

Like shut up and race.

Max fined an hour or two worth of salary. Max fanboy Twitter is saying this is a sure sign Lews is going to be disqualified, stripped of all his points, have 3 of his championships given to Max and have his knighthood taken away.

Hammy to the back for the sprint. They were given permission from FIA/FOM to replace the wing under parc ferme conditions with a device of the same design. They are not sure why the one on Lewis car tested bad, because the exact same part was on Valterri's car.

Also, it is being reported by Brazilian media that no one at Mercedes complained about Max touching the Merc. Marko was just running his mouth again trying to stir up shit. FOM made the decision to put a stop to all the poking and prodding that's been going on by other drivers by making an example of Max.

Yep, the Hamilton DRS violation is in effect for the Sprint and the engine penalty is in effect for the Race tomorrow. Verstappen gets fined for touching. LOL!!

Here is what is current:

QUOTE:

I think it was the only conclusion the stewards could come to. It's a tough decision for [the FIA] but it's black and white. Mercedes have had tremendous straight line speed the last three or four races. They've got amazing pace and this is a track you can overtake at. I would not be surprised to see him in the top 10 at the end of this [Sprint].

Christian Horner, Team Principal Red Bull

Man, these guys in the periphery sure can be catty little bitches. Maybe F-1 should allow NASCAR style fist fights. That would be interesting.

Hamilton has:

A five-place grid drop for tomorrow's race as well after taking a new ICE for this weekend.
