I saw this on rotoworld. They are saying he could be had for a 2nd round pick. Wow! I would let Rak walk and give up our #34 overall to land this guy. Jordan is a freakish athlete who would fit right in our 3-4 system. Plus it frees up more money in FA to spend b/c we don't have to sign back Rak. Thoughts??

Cousins for Jordan maybe but I wouldn't give up our 1st pick in this draft for him.

Why? Its the perfect solution to Rak. Jordan is the perfect fit for our defense. Why would the Dolphins trade for Cousins? lol. I think this move it a no brainer. We get cheap upside talent for four more years. We can get a good WR in the 3rd round.

I agree. Not our draft pick. I'm sorry, there is more to it then, "we are having trouble finding where to use him"
now if I'm a team that has two 2nd rounders, veteran defensive leaders and coming off a winning season.....I'd consider it.

I cant see how Jordan doesn't trump any prospect who would be picked at #34 overall. Plus the Rak situation is huge. They should be asking for a 1st round pick for him. Don't be surprised if Philly gives up there first for him. If I was Philly I would do it.

you guys are crazy. He is set to make 2mil in 2014 and 3 mil in 2015. lol. Why wouldn't you take a shot at this guy. Would you rather pay RAk 10 mil per season?

Its perfect for philly, coach knows exactly how to maximize him. We on the other hand have an pro-bowl OLB that may finally be let loose. I read an article where Haslett could not really run the D how he wanted. Besides, Jordan is way too small to take on double teams, and he missed significant time despite having a low snap count.

While there is talent in the 3rd round at WR, i'm not sure a guy like Moncrief can start right away and be effective.
Benjamen could.

Why isn't Jordan a fit for us? He is a big time pass rusher and fits into the 3-4 system and he is cheap. Jordan weighs more than Rak skn'emall. Rak is going to cost a lot of money and has injury issues. Benjamin is a big risk. He is a boom/bust type player. I would rather save money and go after Jordan.

Why would we trade for Jordan exactly? If he was available, why would the Dolphins give up a 2nd year player, #3 overall for a mere second? You don't think that sounds a lot like what Cleveland just did for Trent?

The team who trades a player, knows something about them.

They are trading him b/c he was drafted under the old regime and he does not fit there defensive scheme. If he passes a physical its a no-brainer for a 2nd round pick. Jordan is cheap, has a ton of upside, and we don't have to break the bank for Rak. If no one offers a 1st for him we should get him.

he fits an olb 3-4. Miami runs a 4-3 defense. He doesn't fit their system. That is why they want to trade him.

Ford will be off the board long before the Redskins brain trust is even allowed in the building. Some one is going to pay Orakpo, im just getting the feeling it wont be us in the end.

Yeah I got that but mistyped.

In what world is 6'6", 260 pounds not fit for a DE in a 4-3 defense?

I think primary focus should be to resign Orakpo, albeit NOT to a 12-15 mill a year contract. 9-10 is a very good offer.

Now, this Jordan kid, don't know much about him. From what I read though he has a lot of upside, but contributed little in his first season and doesn't look to be a starter on the Dolphins this year. Sounds like the Fins think he will be a career situational pass rusher and is trying to recoup what they can before everyone knows he won't amount to snuff. Regardless of the system he plays in...the #3 overall pick playing only 25% of the snaps despite being healthy??? Not good.

It all says buyer beware to me. Not for the #34 pick when that is literally all we've got in really expecting a day 1 starter in this draft.

Actually 260 pounds is quite light for a 4-3 defensive end. If we lose Rak he is the next best option. #34 pick is a small price to pay for Jordans upside. He is better than any other OLB in the draft. This is only creditable if we lose Rak.
