I actually prefer keeping Paps unless we can get a reliable starting pitcher or a top outfielder in a deal that fills a hole.

Same here jvett. I'd rather get rid of knuckleheads like KK and Retardo. Papelbon gets the save and we take the series. On we go for the sweep and finally have cut our below .500 games to single digits. 66-75 is just nice to see.

I don't know if I'll be around tomorrow. Alot going on in the world of sports especially all of the NFL games. I may check-in from time-to-time but I'll probably be over on the Rams pages for the better part of the Phillies game. We shall see.

That's right. NFL time. Eagles and Indy tomorrow night. Phillies are hot and can move up in the wild card standings from 9th to 5th place in a week, though a playoff spot is only mathematically feasible. Still, for me, the final games this month are worth watching.

Just when we get some things clickin', Boobens is running his mouth stating that next year's Phillies are going to be different. That sends chills up and down my spine to think what that idiot is going to screw-up. Yikes!!

He is probably talking about Hamels. Trading him would get some decent prospects. However pitching has been a problem this year so it is best to keep him. Get rid of Brown and Howard and replace them with guys who get on base, that makes more sense.
