Yep, I surely missed one of the best this year. I was long gone into other things. The Phils are up 2-0 already. Maybe this they'll continue that comeback effort today.

Well Burnett is not giving away the farm in the early going which is good for the Phils.

Nice play by Asche but the ricchochet was just too slow on the rebound and Span gets on.

Span couldn't stick the landing and Utley held the tag at second-OUT! Rendon walks though.

Burnett pitched himself out of a small jam and on we go to the mid-innings.

Asche gets a nice single into right field. Burnett has a hit already. Let's get another.

Got LaRoche lookin' and number 3 K of the day.

Burnett gets another K and he is cruising right now.

Burnett has got the shut-out still workin'. I wish these guys could have come together like this much earlier in the year. The outcome might have been different than the cellar.

That was the highest strike I have seen today. This homeplate ump is nuts.

Burnett is getting balls hit right back at him alot today. Sort of like getting struck with lightning.

Roark's sac bunt and Rendon sac fly gets the Nats on the board. Burnett looks like he is tiring. Better fire-up the bullpen.

Three hits and the shut-out is gone but Burnett pitches his way out of a fairly tough side. We need some more insurance runs right about now.

Revere is ofer today and Roark has 7Ks. Nieves is also ofer. If we could consistently get nearly everyone to hit we'd be way better.

I just caught that Dom Bomb. Too bad we couldn't get a few dozen of those this year. Howard continues his RBI run now with 91 third in the NL.

Yea, jvett. The announcers were talking about the notion that for that $25 mil, Howard is going give you 90-95 RBIs but they started to but stopped themselves short of calling Boobens an idiot for thinking Howard's production numbers were worth that amount of money per year when he signed dufus to that albatross of a contract.
