It has been said that the Phillies will be looking for a power bat to place in the middle of the lineup. Which simply means that Ruf won't be that guy. Amaro will pay big money to an aging vet who will be a blocker
to a younger player. Unless they trade Byrd and replace him that way, then I would not care as long as the new player is younger. Scary stuff when check writer Amaro is in charge.
