Schwarber homered to right (426 feet), Sosa scored and Clemens scored.
Done and Done. Phils with an easy 4-2 victory over their hapless opponents from the great white north. Take off, eh Toronto!Onward we go for Game 2 tomorrow!!
The truth is all of their options at number 5 starter kind of suck. The good thing is it won't matter in the playoffs, as long as everyone stays healthy, especially if they win the division and get to set up the rotation the way they want it.The Phillies finally got the message and sent Phillips, who got blasted by the Jays down for seasoning. They are recalling Nelson to Pitch. They should do this with Walker, Mercado, and Alvarez as well. Although since Alvarez got his family issues squared away in Venezuela, he seems to be a bit better but I don't trust him just yet to not throw away games.
Phillies option Phillips after disastrous start, bring back familiar face
Tyler Phillips had a chance to hold onto the fifth spot in the Phillies' rotation for a short while, but he was sent back to Triple A Wednesday after being drilled by the Blue Jays.www.yahoo.com
