Bryce is approaching the downside of his career. Maybe it is time to move along from him and pick-up Alonso.

I still believe that Harper has some juice in him

Preston Mattingly is the new GM now
Maybe someone should tell him that you don’t acquire free agents by osmosis

It's funny how a lot of these trade "ideas" you see out there make it sound like it would be great to trade Alec Bohm, but most of them don't say who would play third base. It seems like you need someone out there or the other team would get a lot of hits.

I am not sure if the Kepler potential signing is a good thing or more dumpster diving in disguise.

Doesn't make much sense to add an outfielder who is weak against Lefty pitchers and to add to Marsh and Castellanos, the latter who is also weak against Lefties. I don't consider this addition to be much good except to fill an offensive need but not to completely fill the outfield defensive need.

"This isn’t to say that the Phillies will be fully out of the market. They could still entertain the possibility of trading for starting pitching or bullpen help, and of course, if they find a good opportunity, they will likely move third baseman Alec Bohm, too."

WTF, "of course???" That makes no sense. Is Mike Schmidt coming out of retirement? Are they gonna suddenly make Edmundo Sosa an everyday starting third baseman? What am I missing?

So far all I’ve seen out of the Phillies front office is dumpster diving and that looks like all the fans are going to see

I guess the front office feels that their team is good enough to win the whole thing

I agree Snowdog. The FO of this storied franchise has done little and signing Kepler is probably going to be a dumpster dive move while they are actually considering giving Harper his wanted extension when his production has slowly been declining.

Except for the minor leaguer swaps, getting this guy (Luzardo) is a dumpster dive move with an ERA of 5.00. WTH? Doesn't do much for our closing staff.

I keep hearing Crawford’s name as part of trades and I’m 100% against that

The kid could be a major player

As per this article he is improving offensively

Phillies could use him especially since the alternative is “Cookie crumbles” Rojas

I am still trying to understand why the Phillies can't bring themselves to get a top tier Pitcher and find better closers even through their developing farm system.
