Yep. I jumped on the Dildoes bandwagon PDQ. And like these new powerhouse Phillies, they did all of their scoring in the eighth. Perhaps this is the new cardiac kids of baseball.

Girardi will stay with him too as he should. Cody Asche made three errors in a game at third in 2014 and never recovered from it. But he was poor in the box and in the field. He was signed and released or traded from seven teams 2017-2019, then back to the farm as hitting coach and finally signed by Baltimore recently as high level hitting coordinator (huh!?).

I'm anxious to see what this lineup can do with both Scherzer (tomorrow) and deGrom (out till June). This was one of those days when no matter how good the lineup is, you can't get much done. I stuck around because it was a possibility, and they got so close to within one big swing of Hoskin's bat with two on, two out, and two strikes in the ninth. So they went down fighting and this time pitcher Diaz won. A great game though.

Alec Bohm got a standing ovation when he came up to pinch hit in the 8th, then grounded out.

Would have been nice to take the series down before Scherzer day. Harper seems to be pressing and over swinging. He needs to just relax and let it come to him. Early work by the pen has been encouraging keeping them in games.
