Maybe the Dildoes have finally got it through their stupid heads that building with young talent from the college ranks instead of dumpster diving is the way to a better team. The Phillies beat the Yankees on Friday 6-5 with some youngsters drafted from college. A kid named Vierling is one of them and they looked stout with these youngsters playing. Maybe!!

Odubel might be out for the first couple weeks so Vierling could get his shot right from opening day. And I think Bryson Stott will be on the major league team before long.

One thing is obvious and it’s a sure thing. The Phillies have the most powerful lineup in the game. Just in time too. With Covid on the run and warm weather at hand, I’m anxious to wash down weekly cheese streaks and Bull’s pulled pork sandwiches at the park while celebrating our 100-win season.

I look at it like this. Phils won 82 games last season with middle of the road hitting and crappy pitching. With this invigorated lineup, they should easily win 10 or more.

jvett the eternal optimist! Until the Phillies bury the Dildoes for good, this is going to be more of the same as we have heard for nearly two decades. The season will start out decently and then when the injuries hit or our pitching gets exposed (AGAIN), the Phillies will get eaten alive by the Bitches and the Mutts because our pitching will continue to suck. And since the Bitches and the Mutts continue to TCB with their pitching, we will continue to suck late into the year BECAUSE we have not solved our horrible bullshit pitching staff!!

I gotta start the new season with total optimism. I do have to suppress any thoughts about the pitching staff.
