Only in New England is Brady clutch for throwing 2 INTs in regulation and scoring 13 points in the playoffs but Manning is a choker for scoring 35 points against the same team, leading a drive to go ahead by a touchdown with less than a minute left, and have his team give up 80 yards with something like 40 seconds left to a team with no timeouts.

Vinatieri makes difficult clutch kicks and Vanderjagt misses easy ones. Weird clutch rule saves Brady from a fumble when it wouldn't today. etc.

Rodgers has an average playoff win percentage but until last year his defense gave up 45 points per playoff loss. That's on him? If Desean Jackson didn't return a punt with no time left for a touchdown against the Giants, Rodgers would have 4 less playoff wins and 0 Super Bowls. He would be compared to Phillip Rivers today. There's just way too much luck involved and dependence on teammates and coaches to judge quarterbacks by rings.

Yeah, but... but... but... did you hear about the Raiders game?

"Peyton only managed 5 TDs against that Raiders D and they benched him in the 3rd quarter." - to hear Pats fans tell it :L

The Colts went from an annual 12-win team to the worst team in the league by losing ONE player....that player? The Greatest QB of all time!!! Don't give me this horseshit about wins vs. stats...lol

On the other hand the Patriots went from an annual 12-win team to an 11-win team going from Tom Brady to Matt Cassell....lol

Ouch. That's gonna sting.

Other than the year before the Colts were a 10 win team and the Pats were a 16 win team.

They also didn't start a QB who had no business as a 3rd stringer so they could get Luck. Cassel may be mediocre but Curtis Painter wouldn't get 10 wins with the Chiefs like Cassel did.

he is the greatest of all-time

Agreed, I dont even think it is arguable anymore. Marino never won a super bowl, does that mean he was a bottom tier QB. Winning the big one is nice, but shouldnt be the factor people are using to make this determination.

I hated seeing Manning out there padding his stats AGAIN today. I mean we all saw him clearly throwing bombs in the 4th Quarter and no where near the bench, typical Manning.

Growing up in Indiana, and being subjected to watching Manning play every Sunday I saw all of that. Whether you said it sarcastically or not it's true. There were so many times the game was already in the hands on Indy but Peyton had to come out to get more yards and more yards/TD's. He's no better than the likes of TCU running up the score to astronomical numbers, and he will continue to do it. People talk about how humble he is and how to him it seems as if the records didn't matter, if they didn't matter he wouldn't be out there when he doesn't need to be. He's an older QB now, who showed last year that with hurt ankles after the SD game where they got to him and put a hurting on him he would still be out there when the game was well in hand. I am not a fan of Manning for those facts alone, he hurt his teams more than he helps them. He doesn't allow his backup to go in there and get some first team reps and mature with that help and guidance that he can give to him.

Oh well when history is told about him he will be told as this humble down to earth guy who just happened to be awesome at football and he made his mark doing it the right way and wasn't a selfish player. Brady is just as guilty and a lot of other quality QB's are the same way.

Sorry if I rambled on there. but I am pretty good at that.

Is it because hes padding stats or just a competitor? If I played I wouldnt want to be pulled either. I agree though that I think hes full of himself.

What proof do you have? Just saying.

Painter's play when he did start and Cassel's career. I can't prove Brady would have won 2 games with the 2011 Colts but his history says he would.

:noidea:

Matt Cassel was backing up Tedy Bridgewater and Christian Ponder.....I think using mediocre for Mr. 11-wins is being very generous considering he's backing up QBs that aren't even mediocre themselves..

Ridiculous what's going on with that offense. I thought the 2007 Pats were sick. The Broncos are far more balanced attack.

I know one he won't break, "SB victories "....just sayin '

Dude, really? Asking a Pats fans for proof? Yeah, good luck with that. :L

Yes I should know better. Patriot fans don't understand teams win and lose football games not just QB's. They think its Tom Brady blocking, catching the ball, running the ball, playing defense, making tackles, playing special teams. Not the smartest fanbase that's for sure.

Just saying.
