Still, only 36, Peter Warrick eyes a comeback with the team that drafted him in 2000. His last season in the NFL was 2005 for the Seattle Seahawks. Since then he has continued his professional career playing for the Las Vegas Gladiators in the arena league, with stops in Montreal for the Montreal Alouettes, the Bloomington Extreme in the indoor league, and for the Cincinnati Commandos in 2011. According to Bengals owner Mike Brown, Peter Warrick has a legitimate shot at making the Bengals in 2014. "I see Pete as having a legitimate shot at making this team, especially as far as special teams are concerned. He's a little overweight, but his 40 time is there, his strength is there and he is healthy."
Marvin Lewis is also optimistic on Warrick's chances. "With Pete, its conditioning, conditioning, conditioning. He just has to keep working. Everything goes back to the hard work, the discipline and the finish it takes to be a complete player in the NFL. He's put on some weight, but I think he will be okay by preseason.
