No matter what, the goalie gets blamed. There is no patience with goalies in that place. It's a goalie graveyard.

Bob is a prime example. Had Philly dumped Bryz and went with Bob, he'd be a basket case by now. Bob started shaky, was carrying his glove too low and was playing back. And he let in five goals in the first minute of games early on.

And after the second one, every mouth breathing nutjob would have been screaming for his head on WIP. And wanting to kill the GM for letting a stud like Bryz go.

In Columbus, expectations are lower, fans are less aggressive and he worked on and found the hitch in his game. And he's been phenomenal.

There are reasons why Richter, Cujo and Vernon refused to go there. They could have had Patrick Roy in his prime, and it wouldn't have been enough.

Well first things first, WIP is useless for anything related to hockey. :)

And while we are not exactly patient fans, we havent exactly had a whole lot of capable goaltenders to actually give a chance. Since 2000: Boucher, Cechmanek, Esche, Biron, Nittymaki, Emery, Leighton, Bobrovsky, and Bryzgalov.

Frankly, Bob is the only example of no patience. It isn't voodoo magic that goalies die in Philadelphia, simply because we never actually have one.

Yes, I need a new avatar.

Forgot about Emery too. RayRay is playing great now as well as Bob.

I really liked Emery when he was here, but it is not as if the Flyers gave up on him. He had a life threatening abdominal injury.

Not to mention the mental breakdown. Playing over seas really helped him recover his game. He's been great ever since he came back to play with the big boys.

Could just be he needed to "grow up". I do miss hearing about his escapades though....

How bad does it have to get?

I honestly think Homer would get fired before Lavi. Who know's what Snider is thinking these days? I just hope Homer doesn't make any stupid trades for the sake of a trade. Really the only guy worth trading now is Briere and he's out with a concussion. The story of our season:(

I crack up because I see the Flyers named in a lot of rumors...but honestly, why would they trade Courtier or Vorachek? Outside of Briere or Cousins, those are the names they could trade for value. But, hey, if you want to do that Homer, by all means, go ahead.

I think Homer would only do this due to Snider's request. I don't think Homer is this dumb.:wtf2:

Strike that, heard Talbot's name too. But he's got a hefty contract (length) to pick up.

Talbot's contract isn't bad. He has been playing solid of late. I'd keep him unless somebody blows us away with a good offer. As of now I'm hoping the Flyers stand pat and do nothing unless it involves Briere and Bryzy ( lol). Keep the young guys. Draft a dman in this draft.

If they were going to fire him this season, they would've done it already. The flyers have a 2% chance at making the playoffs. The time to fire Lavy has come and gone.

I feel like it's been a while since an overpaid UFA was picked up by Homer. I'd love to be the guy cashing in off of this season.

/Lavy's still not at fault.

And yet more bad news coming in, Meszaros is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury. I cannot wait for this season to end.
