The Penguins, in all likelihood. The Flyers don't really have much to give up at the moment (our AHL team isn't doing so hot either), and don't the Pens already HAVE a bunch of decent young defensemen in the minors?

Pouliot, Maata, Morrow, Doumolin, Harrington, in addition to Despres/Bortuzzo who are in and out at NHL level. Those are the top guys. Despres and Morrow are the ones I see staying.

I think this is even less Homer's fault.

Trading Briere for nearly anything is better than buying him out for nothing, but he has to waive his NMC.

Pronger can be LTIR'd, so he is probably last. I really don't know how Garth Snow hasn't inquired for Pronger yet, though. Honestly.

I know there are two. I really do wonder how long the Pronger situation will remain as such. I know he said he plans to play still, but beyond dealing with his symptoms he's out of shape. He can't be exercising, taking hits, hitting people, etc. And I agree that Briere has trade-ability, but it'd have to be the perfect match.

Fuck this team. This is like a bad dream. As much as I like Lavi, this team is just underachieving badly. Somebody will take the fall. My guess it will be Lavinand Murray is in place to take over. Maybe this doesn't happen? As for as Bryzy and Briere go, get them out of here and use that money somewhere else. I'm sure he would go back to Buffalo. This team historically is terrible for scouting goaltending and dmen. I could never figure out why? That is all!

Anyway can Flyers fans please explain to me why Jones & Milpuke blame the Flyers defense for the teams problems? I mean Jones sees this team all the time. Why doesn't he give any blame to the 51 MILLION DOLLAR GOALIE? 3 goals on 9 shots & they want to blame the D. Are you kidding me?

there's enough blame to go around.. the forwards refuse to back check, the defenders refuse to cover open guys in dangerous places, and bryz is just not a good goalie.. he had a couple nice saves (2 on 1 and batting the puck out of the air) but that was it.. there is not a goalie alive, NHL, AHL, European League, Junior League, College, High School, Midget, or Beer League, that renders the goalie stick as useless as bryz does.. his 5-hole is the laughing stock of the league because when he goes down in the butterfly, he kicks out the goal stick as well, leaving the 5-hole wide the fuck open. it's a joke. how he's made in this far in his hockey career without fixing that, blows my mind.
