I think this thread is more about Pete leaving USC high and dry and throwing blame his way after they fired the coach this weekend for losing another game. All he is doing is claiming that Pete should have stayed and faced the music at USC and they would not be in this mess now. So it's a love/ hate scenario, nothing to do with Seahawks etc.

I hear what you're saying but you have to consider the offer Seattle made him. Head coach, executive vice president and veto power over the GM. That's a football coach's dream job. It's not like he took whatever was out there just to jump ship, he was offered total and utter control of an NFL team owned by an obscenely wealthy man who is dedicated to the well being of the franchise.

Yes, the timing didn't look good but Pete Carroll (or any other coach on the planet) would have to be an utter moron to pass up on an opportunity like that.

Yeah positivity is his strength.... I was pretty impressed by how he found a positive with all the seahawk defensive players who were testing positive for PED's... "hey, but look how well they are playing!"

As a NON Seahawk fan and a NON USC fan, I am going to chime in here. I have to say, if I was a player, I would love playing for Pete Carroll. He is a winner, period. I hated him at USC only because of how great they were and how much fun he seemed to be. I remember him always having pranks at practice and just overall being fun.

So I can agree with Seahawks fans on this ONE thing, people are just jealous. I am just bringing honesty here.

3 defensive guys have tested positive since Pete Carroll has been head coach, and one of those were overturned. 3 guys...out of probably close to 100 that he has seen since his inception

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, even if those opinions aren't rooted in reality. Carroll is the epitome of positive energy. I still haven't heard a single example of his "d-baggery" and "classlessness".

If you consider it a douche move to leave one team and coach for another then you would have to throw just about every coach in that category, but its only a douche move if you tell the team you are going to stick with the team only to ditch shortly thereafter (ala Saban w/ Dolphins if I remember correctly).
