We're basically fielding an AHL team in the NHL right now. And we just played last night, wasn't really expecting this but not surprised.

Let's hope we could at least beat the Capitals and salvage this week :L

I'm watching the Canadiens & Islanders now. Habs are up 2-1 right now. Hope they could hold the Isles off.

The youth is showing. Most of these goals have been the result of young defensemen not making the play on the boards or missing their assignment. Chorney at right wing has been an adventure, too. Pouliot's been especially bad tonight.

Fortunately, Hornqvist and Malkin look possessed. Maybe those two can get us back in this thing.

Harrington has looked pretty good so far. Same with Pouliot. Doumolin plays very soft for a guy his size. I remember this being a knock on him as a prospect. It has carried over it seems.

Watching all three of them in the lineup at the same time was pretty exciting. Their value will go up if they continue to perform like they have. Maybe JR can pull the trigger on someone, because there will be a logjam when Bortuzzo, Martin and Ehrhoff get healthy.

Doumolin and Borts would be lowest on my list as far as asset value. Harrington has the look of a future defensive defensemen who can play with a #1, kind of what Seabrook is to Duncan Keith, Harrington can be to Letang.

Also, crappy start, decent finish against a good Tampa team who really wanted this game.

Did not like MAF starting tonight though, just unnecessary, and it showed he didn't have it.

Good show of character by the Pens tonight. Almost came back in that one.

Seriously tho,

Goals = 0
Assists = 0
+- = 0

Sid is supposed to produce, and that's not producing :nono:

The is a big difference between not producing up to par and being invisible.

We don't pay Sid to be a role player tho. I don't notice much of a difference between Sid & Craig Adams as of late. Sid will get the 2nd assist once in a while, but that's about it. Other than that, they've become the same player.

BTW, I'll still take a bullet for Sid if it came down to it, but Sid deserves to be called out. He's playing like a mediocre player at best as of late. Hopefully the Christmas break will get him back in the spirit. Really frustrating to watch Sid play like this.

Not denying he's slumping, but the past 5 games are completely different than a few weeks ago where you could actually say he was invisible, going games with 1 or 0 shots.
