I've been surprised based on the still developing investigation some of the former, high profile players have been so quick to criticize. It will come back to bite them all. A douchebag like Brunell doesn't surprise me.

I've been surprised based on the still developing investigation some of the former, high profile players have been so quick to criticize. It will come back to bite them all. A douchebag like Brunell doesn't surprise me.

There will be a lot of crow-eating, I expect. This is an amazing amount of hype with -- so far -- almost no hard evidence.

Meanwhile, the hardest-core anti-Pats folks will say "Oh, the reason they were so aggressive in the case where they were innocent is that it intimidates people from calling out various other forms of cheating" ... which of course will themselves be unproven, and in many cases even unspecified.

I doubt it. I'm willing to bet this is like pitchers using a bit of pine tar to get a better grip on a ball and lots of teams do it. With the pine tar no one says anything unless you're a complete moron like Pineda last year and force the other managers hand.

This is just stupid. If the NFL thought something was going on you say something to the Pats behind the scenes that people are complaining and to knock it off. You don't let them play with possibly illegal balls until half and try to catch them in a championship game. Save that shit for a regular season game.

A source tells PFT that the "Deflategate" video shows a locker room attendant taking two bags of footballs into a bathroom.
The bags contained 12 balls to be used by the Patriots and 12 balls to be used by the Colts. The video does not show what went on in the stall, but attendant is in the bathroom for approximately 90 seconds. The Patriots turned this tape over to the Warren Commission, who will now scour the grassy knoll for more evidence. Expect the attendant to fall on his sword a la Lee Harvey Oswald, declining to incriminate Bill Belichick or Tom Brady.
