@CreepCreep2014 said it, you have to blame BB and company for the play of this team. The offensive play-calling has been atrocious imo and the defense (yes points wise great) but overall (eye test) have been sucking and can not go far into the play-offs playing like they currently are.

This was prob NE easiest road to the SB, but for some reason BB decided to go on a power trip and actually make this team worse in the process...

You can blame Bill for bad coaching decisions. Same for McDaniels.

You can't blame them for players not giving 100% on the field. Steve Buckley of the Boston Herald may have hit the nail directly on the head. The Pats have about 22 potential free agents in 2017. Those guys aren't busting their asses for a huge paycheck, they're playing back to not get hurt and "hoping" they'll get a huge paycheck. As Buck also said, teams don't pay for promises, they pay for performance.
