Good game by NE. Always tough to win in the Meadowlands and to do so missing some key players is good.

I take it 22-17. At least the Patriots are going home next week. Rams have the long flight.

Great play by Long to knock the ball away from Fitzpatrick and the Pats recovery. This defense has to play that through the entire game not just crunch time.

I hate 4:25 games. It seems like the Patriots don't come out to play. Offense stunk, Defense stunk minus the last play. Gostowski sucked.. Gronk well, couldn't catch.... All around it was a terrible performance on all sides of the ball but they somehow found a way to win.. But play like that against the Raiders, Panthers, Saints they would be getting BLOWN OUT!

I'm right there with you. Glad to see NE get a couple TOs finally. This D is awful. They made Fitz look good and that's hard to do. A better QB and NE loses this game I'm afraid. Offense was ok. I think we get spoiled. No turn overs. Mitchell looked good. Edelman was Edelman. Glad he wasn't targeted 15 times today. Hogan had a quietly nice game. What's up with Marty B? I was only watching it on the RZ. He's seemed to have been forgotten lately. I'm sure he's helping by blocking and a catch here and there but it'd be nice to see him get more opportunities? Maybe saving him for the POs?

I'm thinking that the Patriots simply aren't all that good. They don't have to dominate every game but they're not dominating any of them.

Pats are getting by for now. Defense will be a problem against the better teams. Phins and Bills are playing better so I am not comfortable at all. Still, it could be much worse.

In my opinion, the Patriots are and have been playing to the level of their opponents.

Look at the two losses. The Bills got very lucky and had to face Jacoby Brissett with a broken thumb on his throwing hand. The Patriots had very little they could do to help him out and the Pats lost badly.

Seattle was a close loss that could and should have been a win. 30 more seconds and the Patriots would be 10-1. They didn't play badly, they played at Seattle's level of football.

The problem with playing like that is that playing down to another team's level can make it difficult to ramp up if the opponent takes a lead. Yesterday was a perfect example. When the game was on the line, both the defense and the offense went into second gear and the Jets were toast.

Damn....face it guys, this team is not very good, esp on the defensive side of the ball. They are where they are because they have played a bunch of shitty teams and some of those shitty teams had even shitter QB's. Fitzpatrick looked good because he had all day to throw the ball, and then Marshall and the other guy just beat the crap out the CB's. Butler is getting owned by bigger WR. Rowe is fucking terrible and Ryan has not clue what he is doing. The pass rush does not exists, and the LB can't cover. This team cannot get of the field on 3rd downs. The fact they we drop 8 or 9 into coverage and rush 2 or 3 and the QB's can complete passes is unacceptable. You mean 9 guys in coverage cannot cover at Max 5 WR? It happened twice in the Sea game.

I hate to say it, but teams like Baltimore, Denver and Miami are going to destroy this team. Forget the SB, I cannot see this team even getting past their first playoff game. I put all the blame on BB for this. Went cheap and is going to pay for this.

@CreepCreep2014 said it, you have to blame BB and company for the play of this team. The offensive play-calling has been atrocious imo and the defense (yes points wise great) but overall (eye test) have been sucking and can not go far into the play-offs playing like they currently are.

Our only hope is that they gel at playoffs. How many times have we seen a 10-0 team stumble into the playoffs? I remember a reg season 9-7 team winning the SB :mad2:

Cowboys look like the team to beat but the test is in the long run. The Pats have the talent.
