Or Will Campbell LSUJust a side note......
Texas LT Calvin Banks suffered an ankle injury this past Saturday and left the game against Texas A&M. It is not known if he will play this Saturday in the SEC Championship against Georgia.
I'd still take him with the #4.
I would be livid if they take a WRI'm good with this...as long as we sign OT's in FA.
Patriots Make 'Surprising' Pick In Round 1 Of New NFL Mock Draft
The New England Patriots' biggest need is obvious, but that doesn't mean they'll use their first-round pick on a player at that position.nesn.com
Even if they sign other needs in FA?I would be livid if they take a WR
Do you think they can sign a LT, DT, EDGE, DB, S and maybe OC all in FA?Even if they sign other needs in FA?
Can and will are two different scenarios...Do you think they can sign a LT, DT, EDGE, DB, S and maybe OC all in FA?
I agree. I think Douglas and Boutte are progressing nicely. A true #1 is still lacking though. All I keep hearing is this draft is light and no true 1st round worthy picks after early in the teens and not many good OT's regardless.I feel like the WR grouping is coming along, at least as well as it can with the limited time Maye has. So I guess I do not feel they can address all those needs.
Edge is a real need. I would look for a quality FA RT then draft one of the two decent LTs. Sitting at four may allow for one trade as well and still land us a LT. Seeing as I am targeting a RT at a lower cost then LT I may look for a FA #1 WR. Get my LT and Edge early in the draftCan and will are two different scenarios...

If Wolfe can sign an OT or two in FA and then draft a #1 WR early, I'm in.
This guy has them then drafting a G and an EDGE too.
But if there is no OT in FA and they go anything except OT in the draft I'm driving to Foxborough to lose my shit on someone.
Of course, if they get a WR in FA...they can double dip on Maye's blind side.Or Will Campbell LSU
That would be ideal a FA #1 WR and as I said IMO a RT, then take Campbell in round one and in round three you could likely get C Parker Brailsford AlabamaOf course, if they get a WR in FA...they can double dip on Maye's blind side.
Draft Expert Has Patriots Addressing Huge Need In NFL Mock Draft
NFL draft expert Dane Brugler predicted the New England Patriots will address their biggest need in the first round.nesn.com
I guess the hoop doesn't allow links from Bleacher report??
I like the Alabama G listed in the first NESN link at #2. Both left side rookies to grow with Maye over the next 15 years. That would be ideal a FA #1 WR and as I said IMO a RT, then take Campbell in round one and in round three you could likely get C Parker Brailsford Alabama
What is the deal with Strange, he looked like he was solid with room to growI like the Alabama G listed in the first NESN link at #2. Both left side rookies to grow with Maye over the next 15 years.
Dunno. What is the deal with Strange, he looked like he was solid with room to grow
Walker Little already signed an extension with the Jags.Below are five free agents that will be available in March when free agency opens up for spending. These five would eat up $116.5M of the available money that Wolfe will have to spend. All of these guys are 27 or younger. Every 'expert' has a different amount of money that the Patriots will have.
Official cap space according to SPORTRAC is $139,435,000. (Dollars seen below are my guess of what it might cost to sign these guys)
WR) Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals (5/$175M =$35M- $75M G)
LT) Walker Little, Jacksonville Jaguars (4/$70M= $17.5M - $40M G)
RT) Jedrick Wills Jr., Cleveland Browns (4/$60M = $15M - $30M G)
ED) Malcolm Koonce, Las Vegas Raiders (4/$76M = $19M - $50M G)
CB) Paulson Adebo, New Orleans Saints (4/$120M = $30M - $80M G)
They need to hit free agency hard. Invest in OL. Edge rusher. CB. WR. We stink. Taxes there suck ass. We will have to overpay. That’s fine. We need talent. Money talks.
Assuming we do sign good players that help. We then draft for the best player available at a position we didn’t fill. If we have a top 3 pick again. Trade back if possible but stay in the top 10.
I would be happy with any of these guys with our first pick.(assuming we trade back to picks 6-10) and acquire an additional 2nd and 3rd)
OL- Will Campbell LSU
OL- Kelvin Banks Texas
CB- Will Johnson Michigan
Edge- Abdul Carter Penn State
Edge- James Pearce Jr. Tennessee
DL- Mason Graham Michigan
WR- Tetatoria McMillan Arizona
RB- Ashton Jeanty Boise State( Stevenson is average for a RB.). Granted I’m biased living in Boise. A QB’s best friend is a good RB. Jeanty is the best RB to enter the draft in a long time. He could take a lot of pressure off Maye.

This has been talked about since the draft.According to the HC of the NEP, Strange may be the center in 2025.
That was about a month ago..............................not sure what he's thinking today.
