It’s if the dislocation caused tears that you end up with lengthy recoveries or surgeries. Or if something fractured obviously. Does that help?

I'm curious to hear your explanation of how you can dislocate your knee without trashing one or more ligaments. I realize that a dislocated kneecap is a minor injury on the knee injury scale, but ligament damage is a different animal.

if the knee cap comes off it’s groove , things go in directions they shouldn’t. Is the easiest way I can put it. Just depends how hard that force is.

I have the misfortune of having suffered a dozen or more knee injuries in my life and have had 5 knee surgeries. I am also married to an RN that has worked on the orthopedic floor of one of the largest hospitals in this state for 23 years. It wouldn't be mumbo jumbo.
