Funny part. Dallas ran Skippy outta town when he doubled down Aikman being gay.

Dallas fan is shock value rating points. Skip has made a heck of a living since leaving Dallas.

That's just it, he found out being #1 douche gets a paycheck, so he douches it up as best he can.

Bowers feels like a WR in disguise. People are going to draft him for a two tight end set. I think he's probably going to get drafted outside the top ten. His blocking abilities will be the big thing they will look at.
Agreed. I mentioned JSN as a slot receiver so Bowers is somewhere in that mix I think.

Just eyeballing things but Bowers should go after Harrison Jr, Nabers, and Odunze but before Coleman and Egbuka.

Dalton Kinkaid ran a 4.7 and was a late first rounder. Great receiving skills, okay blocker. Bowers running a 4.5 would put him a tier above and in that top 12 range.

Is he rated better than Pitts? Is he the same kind of player? I don't follow college other than UW and don't follow the draft stuff much at all.

Id say George Kittle receiving skills in Evan Engram's body.

He is different than Pitts but at the end of the day you are drafting him to catch.

Are those teams good or bad? The reason I ask it this, in a very general sense most teams use WRs to stretch the field and attack the 2nd and 3rd levels of the defense. TEs are usually used to attack the middle of a D and the 1st and 2nd levels. So the question is are those TEs leading because the WRs are not good, are they an elite talent or is the QB a check down artist with nowhere else to go with the ball.
Both. There are playoff-bound teams with a leading or 2nd leading TE and non playoff-bound teams likewise. My post was to counterpoint the take that a TE is at best a 3rd or 4th option. I think more than ever a solid pass catching TE is a very important element to a team's passing game.

Hell of a player and I think he can be great but I bet a lot of people thought Pitts was too. He went to a team w/o a QB and they aren’t using him. If a team picks him in the top 10- they better have their franchise QB and few team needs. After saying that, I don’t he is worth a top 10 pick and he could be a great

I would be pissed if Cincy got him at 15 but that is the first team in the top 15 that makes sense imo. Would need a trade up or another team picking a TE or a greater need

With trades and free agency, you just never know how it's going to fall...could be QB4 is sitting there and somebody offers a haul...just never know

I dont know why people seem to think that. Pitts was top 5 in TE targets in 2021, was injured a lot in 2022 but had close to the same target rate, and then was a top 10 in TE targets again this year.

George Kittle last 3 years
45 games
270 targets
196 catches
2695 yards
23 TD's

Pitts last 3 years
44 games
259 targets
149 catches
2049 yards
6 TD's

He is a been targeted as more than all but like 4 or 5 TE's since he has been in the league. He just hasnt done jack shit with the targets he gets.

He is a special athlete. But it is time to start to realize that he probably isnt a special football player. He is Vernon Davis all over again. He's OK....but he's likely never going to be good enough to live up to the draft hype or even all that close to it.

So like Kelce...

But yes I he does seem like more of a WR but either way whatever team drafts him I think they will have a solid pick. 10th pick is the highest I see him going though

I could see him going 8th if Atlanta and the Chargers trade because Atlanta is almost certainly going to aggressively go after a QB and the Chargers could go BPA non-QB

I think so - a great TE can be a huge piece of a team, look at the Chiefs, Niners, Ravens etc. Bowers is one of the best TE’s I’ve ever seen in college, he’s just a beast, definitely worthy of a top 10 pick on a team that needs a TE/receiver.
None of those teams took their TE in the first round.

The Falcons took Pitts in the first round, and Bowers had a more impressive college career than Pitts.

And that was retarded. But the teams you mentioned found their great TEs later.

People mention Pitts but here is the list of recent Florida 1st rounders:

Anthony Richardson
Kyle Pitts
Kaiir Elam
Kadarius Toney
CJ Henderson

Florida isnt developing guys all that well.

Yes, especially for a team that has a solid QB.

That limits your options in the top 10. He's worthy of a top 10 pick, but I think the QB/WR/OT prospects push him down. Maybe to the Chargers if the top 2 WR are off the board?

That's on the Falcons (and Arthur Smith), not Pitts IMO. Same with London and Bijan. Falcons kept adding 1st round picks to their offense then underused them and suffered with terrible QB play.
