Yeah because they sure got their way in 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010? You sound like an idiot

Maybe 2004-2014 was a but harsh...Let's go 2006-2013...

First, you were gift-wrapped a bogus title resulting in the most fixed playoff series in modern sports history dude to Mr $tern's hatred for Mark Cuban...A series in which Wade averaged about 25 free throws, and a series where you used Shaq's name recognition to coax a bogus suspension for Jerry Stackhouse with a tied series.

At about the time of that title, your genius team president signed a 34-year-old Shaq to a 5-year, $100 million extension. Once you realized you were the worst team in basketball, you flipped Shaq for a Nashless Shawn Marion, who you later flipped for a broken-down Jermaine O'Neal. But, complete dumb luck would have it that you tanked enough games through that process to deplete your entire payroll by 2010.

If you didn't reside in the poplar player destination that is South Beach, your team would have never gotten away with such carelessness and incompetence in your front office.

Yes, I said that.

If you look at the history of all of the teams - virtually every team that has won NBA championships has done so by both drafting good players in the draft and by signing free agents and making smart trades. I do agree that teams get lucky though sometimes and it's the matter of time and circumstances. The Heat got lucky in some ways because the Lakers were looking to dump Shaq and get something back. The Lakers got lucky in getting Pau Gasol and the Lakers got lucky when they traded good players for Kobe as a first round draft pick, but the Warriors got lucky in the draft, and so did the Clippers and every team that got the lottery balls. That doesn't make Riley crooked or whatever bad you want to label him. It just means he was smart to make the right deal and the right time and it worked out. Riley was simply a better gm then those guys in recent years out there Indiana. Perhaps it's the air they breathe. Yeah that's it - blame it on the air
