Who did you grow up idolizing and who has you attention now.

For me when I was a kid I was a huge Larry Bird fan. Nba didnt get a lot of play in Toronto when I was a kid but I watched and followed what I could

After The Raptors got a team finally Vince Carter launched me into a massive NBA fan

At this point I have to say my Fave player is Kyle Lowry. Just love his hard nosed play

Although if Kawhi stays I could change

Went through a lot of phases where my favorite player shifted.

All time favorite home team guys: Tim Hardaway, Chris Mullin, Jason Richardson but eventually I think my all time fav will end up being Steph Curry.

All time favorite non-home team guys: Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Allen Iverson, Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Williams (white chocolate).

Top 5 guys I hated: Karl Malone, Derek Fisher, Mike Dunleavy Jr., Bruce Bowen, Kobe Bryant (Russell Westbrook is climbing this list though)

I liked Magic running Showtime. Then I liked Shaq and Penny in Orlando. When Shaq went to LA my interest in the NBA waned. Within a few years I completely replaced my interest in the NBA with the NHL and haven't looked back.

Current: Donovan Mitchel, Dante Exum, LeBron James (I like to follow stats), Rudy Gobert, and Jeremy Lin.

Disliked: Derek Fisher, Roby Seikally, Derrick Harper, Enes Kanter, and Trey Lyles. Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon for ring-blocking, but that’s not hate.

Past Favorite: Michael Jordan- I grew up idolizing him. I have always followed the Wizards/Bullets, but the Bulls were my favorite childhood team because of MJ.

Past runner ups: Bernard King, Scottie Pippen, David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Gheorge Muresan

Current Favorite: Steph Curry- followed his career closely since high school. His development has been spectacular to watch. He was just another good player in high school. Also, Steph Curry embodies the way I have always thought basketball should be played. Ball movement with an outside in approach. Beautiful to watch.

Current runner ups- Bradley Beal, James Harden (I don't like him, but he is must watch right now), LeBron, Anthony Davis, JJ Reddick, Malcom Brogdon

Current Nba- LeBron, Russ, Harden, AD, Jaylen Brown, Doncic, D Lo

Past - Dr.J,Aiir Jordan and Dennis Rodman......... Of course started watching MJ as a rookie and started watching Dr.J when he had his fro.(because my Dad was a huge fan of the 6ers)

Present-Absolutley none.
The courts and unis look like the belong in some European league.....
The teams these days are made up of "look at us".

After Jordan retired the NBA plummeted......

Believe it or not, the NBA is a better product now than it was during the Jordan years

By a long shot.

For all the comments about the "look at me era",

Most star Players today have way less selfish tendencies than the ISO heavy 90s. The game is much better to watch.

It's just people trying to come up with internal reasons as to why they don't watch anymore. It's fair to say it's a different game but selfish ball definitely isn't one of them

Who exactly were these equal teams in the 90s?

Also your comment does not address my statement which is that the NBA is a much better product now than it waa then

He means the actual style of play. But weren't the 90s also one mega team and a few good teams?

Don't know why this is so hard for NBA watchers to get. The NBA is almost always a league dominated by one (or two) big dogs you either wanted to win or lose, but you watched them. For the brief periods where there's no big dog team, sure there's more uncertainty about who wins it all (and even in the big dog eras sometimes other teams win like 2016, 2014, 2004, 1983, etc.) but the ratings are lower and the interest is less.

Nope, 80s were dominated by the Lakers and Celtics, 90s by the Bulls. Next...
