Although I was a very young ladd when Geoege was the Bears coach,but I do remember him as an iwner......
Tough hard nosed guy......wish Bears had a coach like him now.....
A little fun fact is George Halas played rightfield for the 1919 New York Yankees( filling in for an injured Sammy Vick),next season Halas left to start the NFL and Babe Ruth was traded to the Yanks to play rightfield.......
