One of our front 7 is on vacation with his millions of dollars (Atkins)

Packers had that in 2011 (Raji)... although he was on Super Bowl hangover the entire year. Packers also let Jenkins go after Super Bowl our best DL pass rusher so that helps explain part of the reason Packers went from one of the best defenses in 2010 to worst in 2011.

I did not know too much about Michael Johnson before the game as Atkins gets a lot more press... but now I do. Guy really brought it Sunday. Just how are you supposed to throw over that guy... guy is 6'7".

I think he is like 6'8" and Dunlap is 6'6" or soemthing like that. Some very tall ends, who are very athletic and pretty strong, not to mention pretty fast for their size. They are both kinda freaks of nature. Then you add the bowling ball wrecker in there, Atkins, and that pretty much sums up why our DL is the strength of this team.

It's really not a surprise. That's who Burfict is.... He was able to keep himself in check for one football season (last year), but the 'ghetto rat' is back. He's acting like a punk and he's going to start drawing flags. He's also talking entirely too much after plays and has his HC making excuses for him.

One of our linebackers would rather be a thug than do his job (Burfict).

Hopefully Zimmer gets through to these guys.

Zimmer said he wasn't too surprised, or upset, about the rushing. He sold out against the pass, forcing LB's and secondary to play deeper than normal to prevent YAC. That lead to delayed times in getting to the runners.

However, the big run of the day should have been for no-gain. the backside of the defense over pursued, and when the RB cut back, there was no one there.

LOL.

I can see Lawrence Taylor would not be tolerated in this generation now. He would be labeled a thug, a piece of shit with no morals, etc.

I am not saying what Burfict did was okay, but him running his mouth after every single play and jawing with the opponents offense is no different than Taylor used to be.

Taylor was getting his job done and then running his mouth. Burfict is not. I think he can do better..... But hey, let's just blow a bunch of sunshine up his ass.

All this could have been avoided had Burfict simply said "Now, turn your head and cough"

You're right. I should cool it with my shit. I forgot how influenced Burfict is since he is on SportsHoopla hanging on our every word on this board. LOL

I wouldn't want him to think I condone hitting another man in the nuts for the fun of it!

When I mentioned the 'blowing smoke up someone's ass' bit, I was talking about Marvin. He's already making excuses for the kid.... Just like he did with Odell and just like he did with Henry.

Marvin is full of shit and he's a hypocrite. For years he has condoned the thug-like behavior of talented players on his team. More recently he has seemed to enjoy this public idea that the 'character' of the team was purposely drafted by him and that he wouldn't tolerate thugs.... Almost like it wasn't his fault that all those assholes were here in the first place. It's simply untrue. Marvin is the same dude he always was and a player like Burfict is a ticking time-bomb.

So Burfict has a bad moment during the Packers game, and that undo's nearly two years of what he has done for this team?

Who cares if he is jawing at opponents as long as he is not constantly drawing personal fouls.

He baited that guy into shoving him, giving us another 15 yards and keeping Rodgers from picking up an additional first down didn't he? I can't remember if Rodgers still wound up getting a first or not. I thought it helped us.

I tend to forgive for a little bit until it becomes a habit which starts hurting this team. Appearantly, you like to throw guys under the bus at the first sign if trouble.

I think this falls more on Brown, than Lewis. One of the things Lewis mentioned with regards to his last contract was when he sat down with Brown he said in the draft, he wanted to move away from troubled players. The team could do more with less talent, if he had the right guys in place.

I'm not saying that it's also not on Lewis, because a coach has got to stand up, but I think we all pretty much know that when Brown wants something, he gets it.

And when we were successful in 2005, Lewis told anyone that would listen that he was in charge of the roster. Lewis is just like every other coach -- He likes to toot his own horn. He's also an apologist for the behavior of his players.

I'm not throwing anyone under the bus. His play will speak for itself and his play is not as good as some of our fans think.

I think he's going down a bad path.... If I'm wrong I'll be here like J-Will.

And BTW, it's one year and 3 games. Not two years.

True.

I will give him some slack for right now. I am not jumping off the Burfict bandwagon. Mostly because we can't have our only decent LB turn to shit overnight with Maualuga on the team and an aging Harrison.
