Well, when his WR dropped a td in Chicago and the kicker missed a Fg, Wents would of blew out Chi. In sundays game if Wentz was in I believe we would have scored more than 23 points. Just my opinion. Im not inflating anything, the guy is getting a bad rap this year. Im not saying he is all world. I would rather have him right now than TH.

If Wentz was healthy this week he would be playing.

Actually my post was more along the lines of if the Skins are 3-7 and if the Boys, Eagles and Gmen are still rollin like they are. There's no more excuses not to play Howell. We know what the Skins have in Taylor. I believe we know what the Skins have in Wince. I wanna see what the Skins have in Howell while someone, even if its Skins opponents are still playing for something. I could give 2 shits about the Skins making the playoffs with some shitty 8-9 or 9-8 record just to get bounced out the playoffs wildcard weekend. Hell, if I could make it happen. I'd start Howell against Indy.

... and the QB gave up 7 points to GB and if not for a penalty that had nothing to do with the play the offense would have given up 14 points. Washington had a fumble recovery in GB territory and could only get three as well as two other drives that stalled for a FG besides the drive where Slye.

Also important to note is they rushed for 160ish yards. I keep saying and will continue to neither of these guys is the future.

Let me throw my hat for Wentz.

I believe you are on the "this season is over and let's plan for next year" train. I am not.

Wentz was a solid QB for us that has the ability to take the top off the defense. He is our only chance against the Cowboys and Eagles (IMO). Our formula is good defense (which we are starting to see) a good running game (which we just got with Robinson back and our oline starting to mesh) and putting our offense/QB into good positions. This formula works, but will run into a wall if the defense can just dare the QB to throw deep and stack the box (like they did last year with TH).

Ridicule all you want, but I am a believer that we should be trying to win games and Wentz gives us the best chance against good teams. Wentz was far from the reason we lost 4 games, and I recommend looking around the league to see the importance of not blaming the QB. Outside of Allen/Mahommes this year has been defined by defense and complementary units.

Also that Bears win (with a broken finger) is looking like less of a gimme and more of a hard fought win against an improving team.

Obviously you don’t know football very well. We saw Heincke for 15 games last year it’s the exact reason Ron went out and got Wentz!! You also dont make a decision on a brand new QB after 5 weeks in a new system with new coaches and new weapons!! The first 5 games of the season the OLine stunk (3 backups and a 4th string center) the running game was non existent which killed any kind of play action passing game and the backend of the defense was horrible giving up way to many big plays!! Now we run the ball 35 times against a bad defense that also rarely blitzed on Sunday!! Wentz had the Titans beat, gorgeous TD to Brown to go up 17-14 and the defense gives up a 62 yard bomb on the next drive. Wentz brings us all the way down to the 2 yard line and throws a pick which if you watch the video of the 3 plays down there not one receiver got open on 3 horrible play calls. Yes the pick goes on Wentz but what else was he supposed to do??? Watch the all 22 coaches video and you’ll see my point!! The OLine got Larson back and Cosmi is close, we ran the ball 35 times and the defense is getting better each week now!!! When Carson gets back he will definitely be the starter again and Ron has already said he would love to build the team around him!!! This negative Wentz media crap is dumb and you’ll be eating your words soon!!!

Good read. I don't think Wentz coming back is set in stone. I think TH will have to play his way off the field, which he might.

Wentz - Doesn't have good accuracy makes poor decisions far too often not mobile bad pocket awareness and Holds the ball too long

Heinicke - Arm strength isn't very good and Accuracy is suspect and his size hurts slightly

They both have their warts. Wentz and his over paid ass is gone! TH may stick as our back up again after this year. A good role for him in this organization. Kind of like Chase Daniel type.

I would also like an update on G Chris Paul. It was noted he plays with a bit of nastiness in him. If so, could he surplant Charles at RG who is rather passive when I watch him in sets. Wes should also be back soon. Perhaps Cosmi at RG and leave Lucas at RT moving forward.

I can't take these type of puff pieces seriously.
Wentz had his shot against a DAL team without Dak and he got destroyed.

He also tried his hand against Philly and was sacked 9 times. Half of those proved to be on him.

The bears win was courtesy of a muffed punt and poor coaching decisions inside the 5 yard line two times.

I find it hard to believe that TH steps in and the online magically gets better. Wentz is a better QB, but that doesn't mean he plays better in this offense.

Why do you keep making this a TH vs Wentz debate? TH is a backup who had a solid game and rallied the team.

Outside of you, most every poster here wants Wentz gone. You continue to take shots at TH saying "we won but TH tried to give the game away".

There is no way I can defend the game TH had Sunday. Fans are happy we won and are taking it way too far. I dont think it's even a debate. Howell should be playing. The Bears win should have been a blowout if Samuel catches the ball and we hit the fg. Lets see if TH can put a game like Wentz did against JAx. I dont care what other posters think.
