PAC 12 Thread v6.0

No matter which NFL or other neutral site stadium you pick, it's not going to be more than half full on any weeknight, and probably not more than 3/4 even on a saturday game. Pac in general is pretty spread out and almost no team's fans can drive so you are asking for people to get airfare and accomodations on very short notice for a game that matters, but isn't the playoffs or top level bowl.

If you want butts in seats and the atmosphere a championship game should have, hosting it at the top seed is really the only way to get it. And so what if the road team has a major disadvantage? Get better and host it next year yourself. It should be that incentive for doing more in your league slate.

It would be beneficial to the league to go back to that, but we all get how much of a CF it is for many teams to put together a home game on that much short notice.

Exactly, Vegas is a more desirable destination in general, there would probably be a little better 3rd party turn out between locals and football fan tourists already there, but at the end of the day you’re still stuck with the same issue for the actual teams’ fans.

I don't want it at the Rams new stadium in LA. Fuck that. Anytime USC wins the south, 80%+ of the stadium will be Trojan fans treating it like any other home game.

Considering it's only about a 4-5 hour drive for most Trojans fans, I expect having it in Vegas wouldn't be that different.

But I do agree that if it's going to be a neutral site game, it shouldn't be in any teams home city.

Did you read any of Canzano's 4pt series on that? Long read, but he pretty much machine guns the entire Pac12 front office.

I haven't read part 4 yet. But I did read the rest of it. Yeah, he took no prisoners on that so far. I knew Scott was bad, but it's even worse than I thought.

His video that he sent out to the rest of the PAC-12 front office announcing his contract extension was the very definition of tone deaf.

Ducks D isn't that great, but MSU isn't as solid as prior years either. Curious to see the opening line and O/U on that one. I've got pretty good guesses on 5 of the matchups.
