One of two things needs to happen.

If the game is going to continue to played on Friday night, then have the game played in the home stadium of the team with the better record.

or

If the game is going to continue to be played at a neutral site, then play the game on Saturday.

or

Fire Scott and get a fucking person to run this conference that understands how to promote FOOTBALL, not tennis, olympic sports, and whatever the fuck else they seem to give him credit for. Go back to top conf team hosting it, put it on a weekend in prime spot, stop putting conf favorites on the road on short week thur/fri games after a prior road game. Stop putting your top teams up against teams coming off a bye on the road and doing it more than once in a season. Start taking the scheduling the way the rest of the conferences are doing it and get a decent team into the fucking playoffs. Find a guy to run it that has even a clue how to manage a network and negotiate deals with the major carriers. One that doesn't let lawyers overrule officials on calls in the booth. That'd be a start.

Maybe some of that.

Agree. Play it in Vegas on Saturday and folks will make a weekend of it. There will be a lot more attendance.

Now that would be an absolute blast.

A Vegas weekend with the boys and a PAC-12 championship game would be one hell of a weekend.

That is what needs to happen if it is at a neutral site. Santa Clara is just a shitty place to have anyone get to. It’s like if they played the game in Glendale. It’s a shitty location. First it needs to be on a Saturday but it also needs to be in a location that is easily accessible for fans. The Pac12 isn’t like all the other conferences (outside of WV in the Big 12) where you can road trip it to the CCG.

I know that was one of the ideal things about the basketball tournament. No one was going to the Staples Center so they moved it. Put it in Vegas and everyone can get there or there is enough casinos that can bribe people with tickets. The Pac 12 will never be like the other conferences with passion but it should be better than FCS in attendance. Like I said the Washington State HS championship game has more in attendance

Not if you’re a chick on scholarship at a Pac 12 school though. He has improved the conference except for the two areas that actually generate money in football and basketball. He has taken one step back and two forward except the one step back makes money and brings the conference notoriety and the two forward are useless to 99% of paying sports fans.

Santa Clara is a terrible location, made only worse by trying to get there on a weekday evening. Adding to that is the fact that there is no CFB fanbase and you have a disaster for attendance. I could see Vegas, as the local is a draw and fans may make a weekend of it + you'd draw other tourist in lieu of a show. Or give the higher ranked team the home field advantage.... at least you're likely to get a sell out.

Better yet, get back to a 10 team conference and nuke the CCG
