Anyone hear what bowl USC is in yet?

I always thought USC was protesting Larry Scott being commissioner. They refuse to play in another bowl until he is gone?

So on the opening lines only two Pac12 teams are underdogs, ASU and UW. 3 of those lines I expect to have substantial movement early.

Eh, he should have come out and said we fucked up the Cougs aren’t 11-1. Oh well, Scott and Wilner are both douches. It is sad he thinks Iowa State is a quality opponent for the 2nd best team in his conference though.

I know it won’t happen because of money but since we are the left coast and full of protesters I really wish the schools would refuse to play if Scott is still commissioner of the conference.

Yeah, I was laughing when I read his statement, but because it was just so ludicrous and entirely unbelievable as it is.

I'm really not sure what the asshole has to do to get fired. He makes more than any HC in this conference. Makes more than any other conf commish. His department spends more than any other conference, and by a LOT. And the mainstays of income are in the dumps and supported by a failing network.

He'd probably have to murder babies on camera to lose his job. It's just insane.

Outside of Trump giving him the vote of confidence I can’t see how these presidents and chancellors that don’t give two cents or understand sports can see how poorly the conference is doing because (IMO) they legitimately think all sports matter. It’s nice that the conference has the most female exposure but women’s sports or any male Olympic sport for that matter mean nothing but a drain on the athletic departments if football and basketball don’t make money.

Actually, women's gymnastics is the third revenue producing sport at Utah. Does a little better than breaking even every year. Marketing I guess....

Closing the door on the Pac-12 Conference headquarters: Is Larry Scott willing to make changes?

Damn, things need to change this off season. In order for me.

1- it needs to happen. Fire Larry Scott
and his croon Dixon.
2- Hire a commissioner that has no tie to any AD, base his salary off other commissioners.
3- Move the PAC 12 Offices ( no need to pay nearly 7 mill a year for rent)
4- Fire Mark Shuken and restructure travel packages including the commish.
5- restructure all salary’s across the board.
6- Market the PAC12 better. Why I put this last is because it’s probably the easiest thing to make happen and someone with good negotiating skills will make it happen.


Something needs to happen in a big way.

None of us (that I know of lol) has any experience running a conference.

Yet, I think that any one of us could take over as commissioner tomorrow and it would automatically be a sizable upgrade over Larry Scott. If for no other reason than we all understand the importance of football and basketball to the overall financial health of an athletic department.
